Hey,

last year I got gears installed and the ecu was adjusted to reflect that by the installer. this was towards the end of fall and I was going to put my car away for the winter. I was also due for emissions.

I took my car to emissions and failed because the ECU didnt relearn everything because I didnt drive it enough and it pulled a code. So I took the car home and plugged in my tuner and flashed the ecu from its stock settings with gear updates, and gave it a pretuned tune and clear all the codes. I took the car back and passed emissions.

a few weeks later CT DMV called me and asked if I chipped the car. I explained yea I flashed it so i could pass and put the car into storage. CT DMV rep told me that even though I passed since all the sensors where shut off, I would defintely fail when i go again because of stronger CT emmission rules.

when i brought the car home, i put the car back to its stock settings with the gear update being the only difference.

Now if I get a supercharge I obviously cant reflash my computer. I want to make sure any supercharger kit i get, will pass emissions. I know they are street legal. but dealing with the computer makes me nervous.
