Exhaust?

When I got my 02 GT, it already had the Magnaflow Exhaust system. Now, I am contemplating on removing it. I prefer a quiet ride and the loud booming ride just don't do it for me anymore.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to the exhaust system so that it ride whisper quiet?

Also, would performance suffer at all?

I feel the same as you do about loud cars.

If you just have the catback, you won't notice a difference in performance by going back to the stock catback with your setup.

somebody should have a used one around on the net, or go the local salvage yards.

Or car-part.com and get a set of stock mufflers.

Have a local muffler shop weld them in. The piping on your catback might be .25 thicker than the stock muffler inlet and outlet, but that is an easy fix for a competent welder.

Maybe you can try getting some different mufflers. I have the same exhaust system you have and love it. I don't think it's that loud compared to others in my local Stang club. Do you have the regular Magnaflow or the Magnapaks? The Magnapaks are loud. Pearl02.

Just swap them out for these Borlas use your maganaflow pipes.

Just swap them out for these Borla mufflers use your maganaflow pipes. Should fit no problem.

Too loud Maybe you should try getting a different car then. HA im just playing around. Loud isn't for erryone. If i were in your position i would run a stock catback and swap the midpipe for an off road. Hell you could even just get stock muffs and swap the magnaflow muffs w/ the stockers
