New to forums, sayin hey

Hey all,

Im new to the boards here, I mostly hang around mustangforums for my stuff but decided to hook up with some other boards to meet up with some new people. Look forward to talking to you all., specially anyone local.

I have a 2005 GT...and in the boxes sitting next to me are a Hellion 62mm turbo kit, new shifter, lowering springs...gauges...and lots of other goodies that are goin on when I get my baby out of storage in April (longggg wait). Case you didnt get the whole storage thing, Im located in Iowa where winters tend to suck somewhat.

Figured I would say hey, and get some stuff about me out there. Pics coming when I get everything installed.

Anyways, nice to meet ya all, hope this is the right place to introduce myself. If not...sorry!

-Sean

Thanks

I get out that way once and a while.

The MGW rocks. I don't have any complaints. Made the car more fun to drive.

Awesome, when you are around my area should let me know, Im always up for meeting new people. I plan on doin some car shows around the state, are there any good ones around the Des Moines area worth hittin up? Ill prolly make the journey a few times this summer.

Glad to hear it about the MGW, worth every penny from what I have heard. Is it easily adjustable as far as changing the throw goes?

And thanks Sogwap for the welcome.

Welcome to the forum. I'd say that this site might be the most mature Mustang website out of them all. So it's an enjoyable place to post. I bet you can't wait until you can get the car out of storage and get those parts on !! The MGW is worth every penny. I wouldn't trade mine for the world. I drove a bunch of Shelby GTs the other day with the Hurst and wanted to get back into my car as quickly as possible.

Hey Nasty,

Thanks for the welcome. Glad you like the MGW too...the way you guys are supporting this, makes me want April to come a hell of a lot faster then what it is. I got some friends down in Florida, im jealous of the weather.

I haven't found a good show around here yet that I like to frequent. Good Guys does come to the fairgrounds I think once a year or so.

Changing the throw is just a matter of getting under the car and pulling the linkage off the end of the shifter. Then adjust the shifter the number of turns you want and bolt it back up. It probably takes more time to get the car off the ground than to actually adjust it. I'm assuming you are talking about once it is on the car.

Yep I was..thanks for answerin. I wasnt sure what it takes to adjust it once its in and set. Going to be fun...all my boxes are arriving today and tomorrow and my hood is on the way....going to be a fun summer.

If you hear of any good shows to hit up be sure to let me know, plus if ur in the CR area for sure. We have a heavy population of young ricers which need to be put in their place, ya kno?

Welcome aboard! Quad Cities, here. Travel up to Coralville often.

Hey! QC right on, Ill prolly end up popping down there this summer. Hows the scene down there for stangs?

Thanks to everyone else for my welcome also. Glad to be here :D

For my new Iowan friends, you guys know of any mustang groups? The CR stangs disbanded and havent been remade yet...dont think they are going to either.

There is a Mustang club of Iowa, though, I don't know the exact name/web address.

There's quite a bit of Mustangs around here. Check out QCAAF.com we have a few members not from the immediate Quad Cities. And definitely hit up Cordova this summer!

Ill be there! You will have to drop me a line if a group of people are headin out there, id prolly roll down there if I can make it.

Will do. There's only one or two other S197 owners from these parts on the board.. But we planned on making a trip together. I'll personally be there about 10 times this year, providing I don't break anything.
