How slow are these times?

I highly doubt it is the TPS. If you are even worried, remove the air tubing and have someone step on the throttle and see if it goes near 90 degrees.

The AOD is killing you. Swap in a T5 and go. You also need to get your 60ft times down from 2.3 to around 1.8-2.0 to see an improvment in your E/T's and MPH.

These times are bad cause the shift point is way out of place, it's not the aod itself causing bad times, get the TV cable adjusted correctly and install a shift kit, imo

wow...tv cable is definitely not adjusted correctly. even with it not adjusted correctly, i bet just doing a 1d1 shuffle would put you low 15's, maybe even high 14's. i didn't really see a good explanation on how to do it above so i'll tell you.

pull it all the way down to first. smash throttle, when it's about to shift, push it up into D and then immediately pull it back down into first. it'll hold out on shifting longer. once you reach the top of second gear which should be around 4800-5k, put it back up into D for third.

89MPH trap speed is way too low. It suggests you are losing HP somewhere. However, shifting at 3000RPM is way too low. Your TV cable prob needs to be adjusted. Try the 1-D-1 shuffler and see if you can get your trap MPH up around 91-94MPH. That would be a better indicator if the car is making the power it should.

Took the stang to the track tonight, was definately slow LOL.
It is an 89 LX with an AOD, has Flowmaster dumps, ford racing wires, msd coil and distributer cap, timing bumped to 14degrees and a K&N cone filter. I know not very many mods but I pretty much just got the car.

Anyway the two runs I made looked like this:

Should the car be faster than this?

Well, even with a stock car you should be able to get your 60 foot times down to at least a 2.0, even on street tires...just takes a lot of practice. That alone will get your time down a lot. Then, are you doing the 1-2-1 AOD shuffle? This is where, when it's time to shift into 2nd, you slip it into second and immediately back into 1st..this will shift you into 2nd but it won't automatically shift into 3rd/OD on its own until you shift back into 2nd. It's a little hard on the trany but that'll really improve your times. I'd say being a stockish AOD, high 14s are what you can expect.

I wouldn't say a 2.0 60ft with a stock engine, aod and 2.73s unless sticky tires are involved. He shouldn't be almost 2.4 though. 2.2 is where he should be though, which in 60 ft, is a huge difference, a 2.1x with a good track that has some vht down is possible though.

The MPH is much lower than it should be. That shift RPM is not normal.
