New Fast and Furious

Isn't that funny how we Ford-guys know more about a GM car in the movie than GM-guys?!! LOL! I deal with that here at work - I can identify the difference right away between 67,68,69 Camaros. 3 guys I work with are diehard chevy guys and they constantly ask me - "what year is this diecast model we are producing?" I roll my eyes.

I've seen a bunch of previews of the movie and want to see it ASAP. So far #3 was my favorite of the first 3 movies. 1 is still entertaining and 2 just sucks - If I hear somebody say "BRAAAA" one more time I'd want to put my boot through the TV screen! It's BRO not BRAAAA! LOL!

I loved the movie.

I wanted to go and scream, "someone with a honda civic your lights are still on!"

But the best part is in the parking lot! All the imports are the best! One parked next to me and tried to sell me some cleaning stuff. I just laughed and said I'll get mine repainted first. Then he looked at my dirty turbine wheels and said it will clean those up. I told him that these are my racing wheels cause i have my drag radials on them. And tried telling me about getting a built motor and a turbo so I left.

I saw it last night and yes it was a pretty good movie. But as usual it had the bogus stuff , like the chevelle wheel stand, but it did look cool. Now the one that took the cake was the camaro in the end that pulled the huge power wheelie in the DIRT :nonono: then creamed the guy with the mohawk. The mohawk guy had a nice torino gt :nice: to bad they F-ed it up too.:notnice:

I enjoyed it. While I was watching it yesterday I was like wtf... they never give any respect to us foxbody guys.... but after I saw the red fox I was happy. It's sad though, to think of how many nice cars get blown up in these movies:nonono: I mean classic cars are like an endangered species... lol.

I have seen it twice, the first time i payed (went with my girlfriend) the second a friend just didnt want to go alone so he payed for me. With that being said, the first time i went, i drove my mustang. I have never been revved on so many times, by the weakest ass cars i have ever seen. I dont mean that they were imports, i happen to love import cars (more on that in a minute) but they were just busted ass ****ty cars. It gets old quick.

The second time i went in my 86 rx-7 which has tokico illuminas name brand lowering springs, some very wide wheels, with wide chrome lips. While not the nicest looking car, it is fairly menacing when i pull into alot. The only reason i say the last part, is because all the civics and others, didnt even rev once when i went by. I have spent quite a bit of money making this car handle very well, but it still amazes me how ricers will revv at me in my mustang which is truely faster than my rx-7 will ever be. and noone will even look at my rx-7 like it is just the holy grail of all that is fast

Maybe im just crazy tho

Maybe they know that, excluding the turbo'ed models, most RX-7's aren't that slow to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I think RX-7's are pretty nifty cars - they handle great, they look great, and that rotory engine is an amazing piece of unconventional automotive engineering - but they're not exactly known for being quarter-mile monsters. Even the later models weren't all that super-duper fast - quick, yes, and damned great through corners, but nothing outstanding in a straight line. Same reason nobody ever revs at me in my '84 Mustang, as it totally looks like a four-banger model (no 5.0 badges and a single turndown-style tailpipe).

On the other hand, if you have an older RX-7 and you drop a 350 into it ... totally different story. :D

Seeing it this Friday with my Wife, a friend and his wife. I'm actually looking forward to it.. I'm one of those people who can look through the falsities that are portrayed in these films and see the entertainment. Plus its a car movie i mean cmon! And one of the most successful box office car movies at that!!!!

:)

Stupidest movie I've ever seen. I laughed through the entire thing. Everything was fake. I could go on for days about how horribly incorrect that movie is. And Vin Diesel is the biggest tool in show business.

thats more than likely the case, it is slow. the kids always follow me around asking me dumbass questions and telling me about their plans for turbo, or how their 50 shot is all they need to kick most cars' asses.

i have personally driven an rx-7 with a ls1 and another with a 5.0 in it and they are totally different beasts, if i didnt have about 100 other projects that would be next on the list

its a hollywood movie, if it was CORRECT it wouldnt sell any tickets, most movies of any genre are far fetched, instead of going to see this movie, you should have gotten a documentary on racing or cars that dealt with REAL LIFE.

Agreed. Mac, I have to say, seeing as this is the fourth movie in the franchise I don't know how you expected any different. I'm certainly not defending them but even if you hadn't seen the others I'm sure you've heard enough to know what they're all about.

love the f-bombs dirt wheelie, when the car cant even do one at the track

heres how hollywood rolls

That's like someone saying they're a gold-medal champion because they beat everyone else in the Special Olympics. :D

actually no....

It was way more correct the alot of the other car movies ever are.. I saw it tonight and i loved it.. Minus the wheelies, and the driving through the tunnels alot of it was more correct.

Movies like Jason, and Halloween don't happen either.... I don't see anyone bashing how they aren't "correct":rolleyes::rolleyes:
