done a turbo swap in my 88 stang. before hand the previous motor was a little sluggish but figured that to be the automatic transmission sucking up the life it had. anyway swapped in a turbo motor and 5 speed. getting ready to hook up the volvo intercooler now but have a problem i need to solve also. i took the car up to the gas station and filled her up with permium for the turbo motor. get there and the exhaust is smoking from the flat part that levels out after the turbo all they way to the muffler. what's up here. is this because i hooked it to the factory n/a motor's exhaust and it's holding the heat of the turbo or you think the muffler is half stopped up? cats are gutted and one cut out completely when i had to cut it for the turbo hook up. driving the car i see no smoke whatsoever out the tailpipe so i don't think it's oil unless its burning it that fast in the exhaust? anyone help !!
