Machida disposes of Evans UFC 98

Makes me excited to go to Karate tonight :D

MMA is evolving and Machida is proving Karate is a great base, but just like any other discipline in MMA it must be supported by others. Machida has a great package....................that didn't sound good :rlaugh:. He has high level training in several disciplines. I think he has a black belt from the Gracie's (BJJ), his judo is very good, I've seen him employ some devastating Muay Thai, he can wrestle and his Karate well..................

It's going to be interesting to see if, when and by whom he will be solved.

Oh....... and this is evolution even I can believe in :D

He's extremely talented, and very quick for his size. The commentators were talking about how point sparring in karate has influenced his MMA style and you can definitely see it. Short bursts of high intensity, in, and out. What I find really exceptional is his ability to throw punches while at the same time being able to dodge his opponents counters.

His BJJ is no doubt exceptional, but you could tell that he wanted to stand up for this fight and didn't have much interest going to the ground with Evans.

Can't wait to see who challenges him for the belt.
