Hooray! Got a new job so now the

Here are the pics, one of the box to controll the methonal, the pump behind my headlight and the line to the intake.

My methonal isnt pre mixed, i just bought a galon of it and mixed half with distilled water. they also said you dont have to use a 50/50 mix. but its safe at 50/50. i know a few people who run 90/10.

To the OP, when do you have yours set to come on? as you can see mine is at four pounds.

jrichker - I will be systems engineer for BBQ Galore corp HQ in Carlsbad CA

EPIK - I passed on it, the Mach is done for me as it is my DD

mob - I wanted a different tank but both Snow and AIS suggested not getting a metal tank :(

LaserSVT - I get the meth at a local off road shop, do a 50/50 mix and the tank of meth lasts about a tank of gas with spirted driving. I have no before after numbers with the meth, but the car made 544/498 165's, RPM II, Steeda 19 cam, S trim with 3.3/8 pullies (14 psi) on the stock 93 bottom end.

Coast2CoaStang - Thanks! I have had my Fox for over 13 years.

Oh true, whats the reasoning behind that? Is it for your coolant or Meth, I am assuming its for your coolant, but it would make sense if its for the meth..

I must have mixed up two posts :rlaugh: Im running 10 right now, i want two more pounds :flag:
Thanks allot, that really helped me make my decision. :nice:
So it looks like you have yours go full tilt at 4 psi as well? Looks like a great setup and thts a great idea of using the windshield res. The one in my Mark is huge!

The stock bottom end from my 93 is still running in a 66 EFI conversion. I have the Dart in the car now.

Dart IE 363
AFR 205
Jay Allen Cam
Super Vic EFI
T 76
Full MM system (HD T/A and rear coilovers in garage not installed yet)
Viper T56
Weldon fuel system

I have not driven the car with this set up, see my desire to get-r-dun!

Damn car.

nice :D I just want to drive my car and not be scared of the trans blowing up on me. seems like this isnt the place to skimp either, so im saving up for a nice little set up.

Im glad i can help, yeah mine just comes on! lol, i tell you when it hits it feels like a little shot of nos but then again the boost is building so its the whole experiance.

I dont want to explain the methonal to anyone when i pop the hood so i figured thats the best route. along with not moving anything :D I still have the tank though. not sure what to do with it ;p

Hope you get that car done soon :D and congratulations on the job :nice:

Dizzy,

Did you tune your car on meth? I sent you a PM regarding your block/shortblock.

I'm running 11psi currently myself....would like to try the meth once it's all sorted. Lets just say I've a few piggy banks to smash :(

Day one is in the bag!

I think the MR Freeze uses the blower vaccum to suck in the mix, I don't think it has a pump.

it doesnt have a pump its is all vacume and boost operated. I use it and run a program in my EMS , if it see's high intake temps it doesnt run as aggresive as if it sees low intake temps, that way if the bottle ever goes empy i dont blows it all to hell.

the juice (i use ford motorcraft windshield wiper concentrate) cools the charge down by 100+ degres on my non intercooled setup and adds roughly 100hp , brings me from the high 500's into low 700 hp.

I kept hearing that you could use the widshield washer fluid but thought it had a detergent in it.

Sorry for the delay, mine has a pump and goes after the blower. Dont want methonal running around inside my blower ;p

There are so many different ways of using methonal. this is just the easiest one for me.

My stock clutch(114k) and trans held up to 400+ hp for about 4 months of beating on it and power shifts at the track! before that i had done over 90 passes at the track with a huge % of that being power shifts. I cant believe it still works. ;p tko going in the car in about two weeks though :D

As for tuning it, yes when the blower went in i had so did the methonal kit. so they both got dyno tuned in. im pretty sure i can have it come on at lower boost levels without tuning it. i have a wideband just incase.

I found this on another forum, for me i just buy some and mix it myself. but here is what this guy said.

" -20 degrees is the lowest that ANY company recommends running (which is a 70% Water/30% Meth mixture) ... This is because the -20 blend, has ONLY water & methanol in it. Anything lower than a -20 blend, could contain ethier
1.) Gelatin 2.)Antifreeze

Etheir of those two things you DO NOT want to inject into your motor.

I run a Snow Stage 3 w/ a 7 gallon tank mounted in the bed. I run strickly Peak -20 blue washer fluid. I do add "HEET" in the yellow bottles to my mixture, which is recommended by Snow. 2-3 bottles of "HEET" added to one gallon of -20 blue washer fluid, will make the mixture a 50/50 blend. "HEET" (in the yellow bottle only) contains 100% methonal, so is 100% safe ... as long as you stay with-in a safe ratio"

Guess that works

Ah I see the differences now. There is a lot of debate about the before and after methanol kits. I read nothing but good things about the mr. freeze kit and it seems safe. I don't think I'm too worried about the "corrosive" effects of dilluted methanol on my blower, or it hitting the compressor. I don't think Anderson Ford would still be selling it if it were a bad system. It sure is a hell of a lot cheaper than the snow version................
