Firstly, this is NOT a for sale thread. I'm contemplating selling my Mustang. It's a 2001 GT with 55xxx miles in perfect condition. I realize prices are way down on our cars but what's a fair price on this?

I bought my 2002 Zinc Yellow GT w/ 55K miles (and a few mods) for $8K even. Mine is a premium with auto tranny, MACH 1000, and leather. I bought mine from a Ford dealer so I think that its POSSIBLE to get a bit more if you sell it private party

Its really worth whatever someone will give you. The economy is in the garbage can and knowone is spending money on anything. But around here im seeing GTs go for aroun 9-12k at dealerships and they sit for a long time, at that price.

Ya know I have never heard the Mach 1000 myself. How much better is it then the 460? I know it has more bass but are the mids and highs better. Is the bass deeper?

Dealerships are usually more then private party.

Not when you're trying to sell your car. Dealerships offer you less than what you would get if you sold it yourself.

For example.....

According to Kelly Blue Book, trade-in value (value dealers would use if you went to them) is $6K. Private party value is $8.2K. Big difference.

In my opinion, it's a much better all-around system. For power = better sound. 1000watts > 460watts. I had the 460 in my 01 GT and it sounded much different.
