Fox body coupe question

I am new to the forum.I currently own a 97 Convertible GT.I am wanting to get a 5.0 fox Coupe though.Well I have been doing a little shopping and noticed that there are a lot of 4 cyl conversion cars for sale,they are a lot cheaper than the original V8.I have to have a V8 though.
I was wondering is buying a 4 cyl conversion car a bad investment?

Depends on the person that built it. Some people build solid cars, some don't. The same could be said about the upkeep of an actual V8 car. Best bet is to inspect it before you buy it.

it will never hold value like a true v8 car will, but if you just want something to drive then a clean conversion car is well worth it imho.

Hey thanks.I was just concerned with buying a 4 cyl conversion car b/c I figure if I ever want to sell it,I want to get my money back out of the car,basically I dont want a piece a of $**t that I could never get rid of b/c I made a bad decision.I know that it would save me money as far as insurance b/c a 4 cyl would be great on insurance,but then again if I ever wrecked it,they would only pay for a 4 cyl car.

Ok thanks,sorry for the ramble.I am hoping I can get some more people to chime in on this,so I can get some more opinions or answers.
