We're restoring a 66 coupe (actually a few, a 65 coupe, 66 vert, 67 vert and a 67 fastback) But this is the newest project we started. We pulled the floor and front end off today and yesterday. Everything except the outer wheelhouses, quarters and roof is being replaced. This car was SERIOUSLY rusted. We're hoping to do a mild custom but not sure if the customer wants to do that.

Here's pics of the past two days of work.

Judging by other cars we have restored this one should be in paint by next summer, maybe sooner. We're hoping the customer will paint the car the car the original gold color. Would LOVE to do a two tone with it but we'll see.

Its nothing special, 289 2 barrel, automatic. The guy has had it for YEARS and daily drove it for a long time and has alot of sentimental attachment to the car. We don't ask people why, we just do it. lol We
re hoping to hop it up a little and make a mild hot rod out of it. I think that would actually help the value of the car.

We're getting really good progress going on the car, fixed rust on the inner rockers with some nice patches and got the cowl sides and upper and lower in. These cars go together so well! In total we have about six seven hour days into it! We're going to be moving onto the rear frame rails and trunk floor this afternoon but we figured we'd post up some pics of the progress so far. Let us know what ya think!!!

He seam sealed the hats to make sure no moisture gets in there and rots out the cowl like it did from the factory.

Got some more work done, this was all done yesterday. We're waiting for the new rad support and a few other things to come in to finish the chassis work. Did a small patch on the rocker as well from it being torn up when I removed the fenders because some jackalope welded the fenders to the rockers........ I hate hacks!

Awesome work man. Gives me a real good picture as to how the unibody is assembled. I'm working on a 66 that needs quarters, floor pans, cowls, rear package tray, and firewall work. I'm looking forward to more pics! Don't crush em', Restore em'!

Its been a while since I've posted anything on this car. I just finished painting the underside. We tried to do a factory look for the chassis. The red oxide is a base color that resembles the factory primer that got applied to the bottom. I didn't go crazy with it like putting factory drips and runs in it either. I cleared all the colors with a satin clear to protect it from the weather an all that stuff. Oh and those are Spintech Subframe connectors. They look like they were meant to be there from the factory! Next up is the suspension and brakes and then on to body work!!!
