Im putting 99 cobra brakes on the front of my 92 gt. I have looked everywhere for someone that sells or says the part number for the brackets that the front calipers go into. If anyone could help it would be great. Thanks:flag:

This is the list i found on the internet. 79-93 5 Lug Ford Fox Body Mustang Conversions
Front w/Cobra PBRs:
13" cobra rotors (2)
cobra PBR calipers (2)
***cobra caliper brackets (2) ***
caliper pins (2)
spindle to caliper bracket bolts (4): N805163-S190
1994+ spindles (2)
Hubs (2)
hub nut(2)
dust cap(2)
dust shields (2) : F4ZZ-2K005A , F4ZZ-2K004A ($7.70 each)
SS brake lines from Maximum Motorsports
Balljoint spacer or stack of 3 washers totaling .330" in height or press in Sn95 balljoints to the stock arms (MOOG brand)
Banjo/caliper bolts (2) 10mm x 1.0 thread

The one in *** is the what im looking for. Im going to use spindles from a 94 mustang :flag:

This is my 96' spindle with a strut attached.
The two holes in the spindle are for the caliper, which bolts directly to it.

The difference between the 95' and earlier spindles are about 3/10" in track width. Everything else remains close to identical.

I will double check my junk for a bracket, but I just tore mine down so I can mock up my suspension and check geometry.

I do of course have the 13" rotors and PBR Cobra calipers (38mm cups)

The bracket is part of the caliper. If you buy new or used calipers they usually come with them

This bracket is what bolts directly to the spindle. There is no other bracket. If you are missing this U-shaped bracket, you'll have to go to Ford or look around for someone selling a used set without the caliers. These are usually sold together as a pair

Well, like i said, it's usually sold with the caliper. If you buy a pair of calipers new, or remans from Autozone, you get both parts. Then you just bolt it to the spindle.

It's not typical to sell or buy them without the brackets since it is part of the caliper, and the cost of buying the brackets new can drive the cost up to the point where it would have been cheaper to purchase the calipers as new loaded units especially when you factor in pads and the required hardware kit with the pins and anti-rattle clips.

From what I have read, It seems that he isn't changing the spindle, but wants to install the rotors onto his fox spindles.

You need to change the spindle to the 94-95 style. Then as stated before you just bolt the caliper to the spindle and since the hub/rotor are seperate you just place the rotor on the hob, bolt down the caliper and go to town. You are also going to need the cobra brake lines and weatherhead adaptor fittings to go to the fox lines. Also might want to change the booster to the 93 cobra style. Going to need more fluid volume to take into account for the larger caliper piston diameter.

I just picked up my Cobra calipers from Advance today. They can't get the brackets and Ford wants $122 each for the brackets.
