MC-Machine Gauge Cluster (PICS)

Me likey. I wish I went with the lit number type gauges in my car. The C2 style gauges are blindingly bright at night.

Haha, yep. That's probably the direction I'll take. (The former, not the latter. :p )

Wow.. LOVE the look of that!

looks BITCHIN' :jaw:

they look so good i won't bust your chops on the out of focus night shots :D

Thanks :nice:
Pictures are out of focus cause of how bright they are

After looking at both I just don't particularly care for how the gauges line up on the MC set, specifically in a 90-93 dash. They look great in the 87-89 though.
Probably cause they dont make one for the 90-93 models
Damn man them things look perfect in there!

Can they be hooked up to the dimmer? Prolly not but I have not been up close and personal with those gages yet.
I did wire the gauge lights off the power for the dimmer, but it doesnt do anything for dimming the lights, maybe its cause they are LED's and not a traditional bulb

Well aware of this but they outline how to "make it work" on the 90-93's on their site. Now that I look at your pictures again it seems like the top left gauge is slightly higher than the top right gauge in the straight on pictures, is that just the angle of the picture or maybe a small difference in the shape of the dash?

why its like 2mm up in the dash can hardly notice

the more i think, and look at it youre right! im gonna stick with the plate you have, and maybe try to modify it to level it out if its possible...my car isnt really a race car, more of a show car so thats why i was thinking of changing my mind to the other setup... thanks for the info!

if its not a race car why get aftermarket gauges at all? Its not like you'll need the accuracy of aftermarket ones. Better 1100 spent elsewhere.

because the stock gauges suck monkey balls? its a mod that i've been considering doing for a while now, considering the stock tach is horrid, i dont want a 5" one on the dash, and i'd love to move the accurate gauges from under my radio to a more glance-and-see spot.

plus it just looks dang cool.

i know thats why i changed them :nice: but for alot its better to just calibrate the stock tach 1100 is a good start on an hci

looks for sure, having hella issues with my stock guages, and ill be one step up at the shows! besides, its a mustang, i mean i dont race it or anything like you do, but lets face it...as long as they arent in jy shape, they are all performance machines (even if they arent 10 second cars) who knows, might gain some encouragement to make mine faster after lookin at them all day!
