I guess for you Florida boys, snow is something wrapped in plastic and duct tape and hidden in the holds of speed boats and small planes.
Looks like it has a little panel damage, but other than that, that thing is a freaking buried treasure! If you can get that and take it home for cheap, it will be like winning the lottery. 10 bucks says the owner either 1. Wants $50K for it or 2. Won't sell it at any price.
Yea, the old "I'm gonna fix it up someday" mentality.
Nice find, I love that body style Mach. It's been awhile since I have seen Kelly Chargers and Tru-Spokes.
See, thats what I saw, she also has the little diameter steering wheel, all mods from the late 70's- she's been ignored for a loooong time. The info I have received has her titled last in 1978, no current owner listed, not stolen and not wanted. She has no plates or stickers of any kind. The old timer locals who know everybody and everything everybody does say she's been there forever and they don't know who's she is. The keys are in the ignition and the doors are unlocked. I am going to lost title the VIN and see if they issue me one. She's 40 years old, and the mods are at least 30. Nothing rusts out here in the desert, these folks use vehicles from the 70's as regular transportation, so the condition is typical of lots of other cars out here. Her owner could have died for all I know, and she's waiting for the next one. Well I'll volunteer if thats all it going to take. I'll keep yall posted!
Now thats funny! Well, "Old Carl" is the proud(or not so much) owner of this dormant beast, and he got it from "this guy" back in the mid 80's and he's gonna fixer up. Course "Old Carl" is in his mid 60's, never built a car before, has his fishin boat in his garage so the original 1971 Mustang Mach 1 sits in the field by his work til he can git to her. Figures.
