Overrated fox upgrades and trims

my personal problem is w/ people that go through the time, money, and trouble to change the front and rear of a coupe, by taking extreme measures to "duplicate" (or pay tribute to) an earlier model mustang.:barf:

I mean if you wanted a 68 mustang so bad, why don't you just buy a 68 mustang!

I say leave a good thing alone, messing w/ what the Ford engineers dreamed up and put into place is in effect......kind of like.......like....messing w/ mother nature,.. or even playing GOD:eek:

Seriously, if I see one more fox Mustang w/ a 68 front end on it I'm gonna puke!

Haha, how about you just finish yours! :D

Black wheels-They look like someone stole the wheels and you're running steel wheels.

Aftermarket seats-Mainly the cheaper ones. They look horrible, they are hard as hell, and pose a safety risk.

Billet interior-Looks out of place no matter what.

The majority of overrated parts on here are one persons view vs another lol if a person does one thing and a guy does another there will be conflicting view points like smoke lenses and cowl hoods. A person might hate it and another likes it but if not for the varying view points all stangs would be the same the uniqueness of our tuning market is the varying views I personally like the clear smokes and little to no cowl increase but guys that like the mega hoods that keeps our prices low b/c a company cant sell a part at outrageous prices b/c we can go around it and get another thing due to demand and varying tastes. Nothing makes me feel better than telling f body owner what I pay for parts and see em turn red b/c theirs are two to three times more b/c their market is pretty much the same everyone wants fast intakes and certain pipes and a certain this and that variation in our market keeps things down so I love this post b/c it shows just how unique a fox can be.

Well said sir!

Wouldn't it be funny if a ford engineer saw Mike's car, and the 2014 mustang wound up looking like a fox with a '68 nose and tail on it?:rlaugh:

Lots of conflicting view points here. My point was the upgrades people rave about and they hardly know what it's about, or when little things make all the difference.

I love coupes, would love to have one, but damn I'm not going to pay a whole lot more for one! I think this is how it happened.... most 5.0's sold were hatches. Only a few were coupes. So to have a coupe was more rare. Then, the police package one's were almost all coupes, and then people found the chassis was firmer and it was a bit lighter. Nothing was that significant, but the coupe owners projected it as having something special. This started to spread and soon everyone wants a coupe, and then all of a sudden people want twice as much because it's a coupe, half of the people don't even know why.

Black interior. My pickup truck has all black (charcoal) interior, and I have to say, I do like it a lot. Just relaxing to the eyes. I liked my red/black 90GT interior, a bit too much red, but I was working on making more of it black and just leaving the red as an accent color.

5 lug I will probably do some day, basically because stock fox brakes SUCK. However, it's not for the extra lugnut.
