Stock Mach 1 shocks and struts

With that many miles they are probably not in very good condition. I just replaced my stock shocks/struts @ 82k miles and they were well worn. I could compress them by hand and they would just stay in the compressed state.... stuck.....

Moral of the story: don't buy used shocks/struts unless they are really really low mileage (<10k).

Looks like I'll be saving (for a while :( ) to get some Tokico Blues. Any real difference between those and, say, KYB's? Honestly, I'd just like something better than stock- I plan on getting a set of H&R Super Sports, I already have an MM K-member brace and full length subframe connectors installed. Still waiting to be installed are MM lower control arms, MM c/c plates, and MM strut tower brace.

Save you money and buy something else like everybody else said, 81k is way too many miles, also the Mach tokico's are made by ford they are stamped by ford on the bottom they are supposed to be designed by tokico and have a tokico gas sticker on them. They may have a better rebound rate over a stock GT shock or something but aren't much better, I still noticed a pretty large improvement over the factory tokico designed when swapped to my Bilsteins.

If you're going with H&R SS springs I would stay away from stock or KYB's. The springs will beat them to death and they will not last long. Your going to need something better, i.e. Bilsteins, Konis, Illuminas.
