Hey everyone,
Over the past couple weeks I've noticed that what used to be a solid steering wheel in my 2010 V6 has now started to jiggle if I try to flex it with both hands--and the car doesn't even have to be in motion.
For example, if I put both hands at 10 and 2 and push with one hand and pull with the other, the wheel actually wobbles with the motion of my hands. In addition, when turning the wheel for the first time in the morning, it feels like it's slipping slightly, like it's not fully tightened to the steering wheel column.
Could this be what it is? Is it possible that the nut holding the wheel to the column has come loose and with each turn of the wheel, I'm unscrewing it even more?
I'm planning on taking it to Ford tomorrow to get it checked out. I just wanted to get your input on what the issue could be.
Thanks!
