Engine Vortech Sc On Stock Fox Long Block

Im wanting to install a vortech v3 I was thinking either the 5-6 psi kit or the 8-10 psi kit will the long block handle 8-10. another a question is gaskets the head gaskets were replaced with stock replacement gaskets a year ago will the gaskets handle 8-10 psi and what kind of power will it put at the rear wheels.

Both kits were designed with the stock engine in mind, either choice that you make will work well with the stock engine. Any supporting parts that you have will only bolster the HP output. What are your goals with the car? Are you going to be mainly street driving or will you be racing some? Are you more focused on daily driving the car or showing the car? Do you have any modifications made to the car currently? The answers to these questions can help point you in a better direction.

We have installed blower kits on every kind of Mustang imaginable, some having very high mileage. One customer comes to mind that had 198,000 miles on his car when we installed the super charger system. Three plus years have elapsed since then and daily driving his car has added almost 40,000 more miles. The car has never had any issues as a result of the supercharger and continues to run great to this day. Just some food for thought.

I personally like the V3 Si vs the V2 in an application such as yours. The V3 head unit has a self contained oil lubrication system. This makes the installation much easier and will more than suit your needs. The V2 series blowers carry the same overall efficiency but are lubricated by engine oil. This will require you to drill and tap the oil pan on your engine while it is in the car. While not a huge deal, most people are intimidated by this process as there is a chance for metal shavings from drilling and tapping improperly to wind up in your oil pan. The V3 eliminates all of this and really shines over the V2 for this reason.
The SCi is a great starter kit and will work well for anyone looking to ease their way into things. I usually see most people later upgrading to the Si in short time.
My recommendation would be to see you wind up with the V3 Si kit from the get go. Check out Vortech part number 4FA218-040L You can also consider the options for finish on the head unit and piping. They are available in satin, polished or black. Expect the 8-10psi kit to increase your current hp output by about 100hp. They rate the complete V3 Si kit at 331hp vs your stock 225hp. Keep in mind that other engine modifications will only further bolster these numbers.

In my opinion you don't really need the charge cooled kit unless you are looking for every last horsepower there is. The reason for the battery relocation with a charged cooled kit is due to the new location for the intercooler water tank. It is roughly the size of the battery and is mounted where the battery is currently. The battery in this instance will need to be moved to the trunk.
As far as the power pipe goes, it will certianly increase HP and you will likely see 1 to 2 lb's of additional boost. This has a lot to do with the overall design and really comes down to how efficiently they get the air to the blower. As a cheaper alternative check out UPR as they have their own version of a power pipe for your application at a more reasonable price point. @Sharad frequents the board here and can help point you in the right direction if you have any questions in particular to their products.

I guess I will go with the v3 si ho what maf and injectors should I go with it says on lmr the v3 si ho kit comes with the t rex pump would I need to upgrade the pump in the intak

If the car is mostly stock then use the kit as it comes. Retain the stock injectors. Install the t Rex. Look to buying the UPR boost pipe. And most of all... Stay away from meth!
If you don't have any major engine changes, the kit works out of the box and includes everything you need. No tuning required. Adding things like method injection and changing injectors around will not only cost you money for parts and a tune, but are just not needed in a mostly stock application.

I'm in a similar position. I just decided to boost my car for the first time. Pretty excited. I am going with the v3 sci. I recently had my car dynoed and it came in at 277 hp and 313 tq. My mod list is below, any guesses on what it will put down once the supercharger is installed?

depending on what boost you run, it will add anywhere from 50-125 hp. The base kit will net about 50-75 hp. Was wondering why the rwhp was not a little higher with the stage 3 c am. Is this a stick or auto?
