My 6 y/o and I hit up 7 Mile ORV park yesterday. Perfect riding weather and only a handful of people out with us. I've made some decent progress on the Coupe but need to order a couple parts to make things a bit more complete.

Need some help guys!

I removed this a long time ago and now forget where it went. Can you please post a picture or tell me where this mounts up? It's near the clutch pedal under the dash.

If anyone can also post a pic of the brake switch mounted on the brake pedal that would be great. I need to know if I installed it correctly.

I ended up finding out that the first picture in the post above is the cruise control module and it mounts to the lower left bolt for the brake booster. Was under my dash for longer than I'd like today tying up loose wires and my clutch cable. As others have said working under the dash is the worse place possible for these cars. O'well, at least I got a little progress done. I should have my battery cut off switch and PiMP installed next weekend and start up following shortly after.

Do you think it would be OK to run 14awg from the Moroso 74102 cutoff switch to the alternator per your wiring recommendations instead of 18? The reason I ask is that I already have a spool of 14awg in my garage, I'd have to go buy 18.

The14 gauge will carry more current than 18 gauge, so it's OK to use it. The 18 gauge specified is because the circuit only carries less than 5 amps and 18 gauge is less expensive and slightly easier to run around corners and crevasses.

I got the E-fans wired up today. Going to control them via Stinger PiMP which gives me complete control to kick on one fan at "x" temp and the second fan just above the first one at whatever temp I want. Wired each fan through a 5 pin relay and then to the ECU which will trigger the relay on and off. I still need to wire up my wideband O2, align my front wheels, install new key & trunk lock cylinders, redline hood lifts, and some interior and that's about it.


Decided I would give the Notch a bath in the garage, it was really filthy.

I'm going to finish up with my wideband O2 sometime today or through the week so next weekend should be when I install the jumpers for my options, connect the laptop and start going through the pre-start check list that PiMP has. As most people probably are at this stage I'm really excited yet terribly nervous at the same time for the first start up. I'll keep you all posted.

Just dawned on me yesterday while I was talking to my son, who'm is about to "graduate" Kindergarten next month and was talking about Summer break, that we're about to flip the calendar and next month is frickin June!! Summer starts!! Gotta get this bitc h on the road!!!!

First day of Summer is also Fathers day this year. The local Ford dealer always has an all Ford classic car show and I'd love to be able to take the Notch out on that day and drive it there with my Son.

My Wife got a much needed tummy tuck a few weeks ago. My twin daughters did a number on her mid section during pregnancy. An out of pocket expense of about $11k. Since the surgery I've been doing all of the house duties including laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping and most things with the kids. She's doing better now but is still only 50% along and can't pick up the kids yet to get them in/out of beds, vehicles and high chairs. This is slowing things down a lot with the Notch.

Very true, having kids and being married means that most of the time your needs/wants are met LAST if they're even met at all. That's okay though, I would not trade it for the other way around. After my 6 y/o goes to bed about 9pm and I don't have much motivation to head out to the garage that late. Especially since I get up for work about 4:30'ish am. The closer I get to starting this thing up the more excited I get and it's hard to be patient. I almost want to just tow it to the local performance shop and pay to have them finish it up but I really really want to learn to tune my own setup.

It's been a weekend of 1 step forward and 2 steps back!!:mad::mad:

I ran some wires through the firewall on the passenger side for the PiMP vacuum line and my battery cuttoff switch wires to the ALT and this happened....broke the dang brake line trying to move it a little to get my hands in there.

Today I install my jumpers for my engine configuration for my Stinger PiMP microsquirt

Turns out the PiMP does not support dual fans (low fan, high fan) for the V8 since the high fan is shared with injector 8. So this only works for a 4 cyl. I should have read the instruction closer.

Now I'm left with a decision to make, run a single fan through PiMP? Or maybe use the flexilite fan controller that I already have that has soft start to run my dual fans?? I really don't want to look at that ugly fan controller in my engine bay. Maybe I can hide it?

have any recommendations for a good single electric fan without breaking the bank? What is the amp draw of a taurus/contour fan? I already have all the wiring and relays for the dual fans ran :nonono: I'd rather sell the FAL controller and get a single fan to be honest and run a single fan through the pimp and remove one of the relay.

Sorry if I'm going back and forth, I'm at a fork in the road and need to keep pushing forward. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Stangnet family!
