I'm running a Fuelab 41402 pump. It's rated at 140gph @ 45psi. The fuel pressure regulator acts as a controller to reduce voltage to the pump based on the return flow rate.

I'm questioning the lines because I know of at least one person that had vapor lock issues because his fuel line was laying on his blower. Once that line was insulated, everything was fine.

I have a 10an feed and a 8an return.

I apparently had an older design circuit board on the first pump during that dyno day. That board failed and they gave me a brand new pump with the updated design. I'm considering calling them but I want to rule out any potential issues on my end first before I start pointing fingers at Fuelab
 
I wouldn't start pointing fingers just yet either, it may be a worth while discussion with their tech line though just to gather a little more info. I'm not very familiar with their products or return regulator.
From what we typically use 10 supply and 8 return should be adequate for the flow rate on your pump. The PTFE hose is the real difference that I see in your system as compared to what I typically use, consider calling the tech line at Russell, Aeroquip or whatever other manufacture hose you've used? FWIW, I find Aeroquip to have far superior tech as compared to other hose companies with questions like this as they are move involved in the aviation industry and held to higher standards with many of their products as compared to most motorsports applications
 
The regulator has an output for flow to use with a data logger, but I don't have any way to interpret that now. I need to see how I can hook it up to the Holley and get flow rate from the output voltage of the regulator.

I will eventually pick up a point and shoot gun, but for now I'm going to use a $1500 camera for free!

I will give TechAFX a call to find out if their lines are more susceptible to heat soak than rubber lines. It wouldn't hurt to consult with Aeroquip either. I appreciate the tip! Fuelab will also get a call so I can get some advice from them based on how the pump was acting.

I do have a cowl induction hood and I can tell how well it works at idle. You can see the heat rising out of it. The Taurus fan does a good job of moving air too, but it's still warm in there. No way around that with all the turbo piping, even with it all being wrapped.
 
what size is the return? Also, a few dragweek guys are actually using transmission coolers as a fuel cooler with a fan on it for the long drives.

Is your crossmember backwards, or is mine?

yea mine was also for a TKO-600 originally and i used a adapter to set the driveline angle and use the stifflers crossmember. Interesting the the 600 goes the other way.
Mine was for my t5 I just used the tko kit that came with it when I bought it

So I guess I'm the only one using a stock crossmember with a tko these days?

Other than the looks, is there any real good reason to use the stiflers over a stock one? I can't see it really being any lighter.

It's a nice solid piece and doesn't have anywhere near the flex my stock did
