My car keeps dying when the RPMs drop with the AC on.

First off I think I will move this to the tech threads but be forwarned, a question like that without some specific info on the car like stock or modified your gonna get some really disturbing answers like 'so turn the ac off' or 'don't slow down', so give us some info on your stang so we can help you.

Perform the idle reset procedure to adjust the range of the IAC.

Step #1, clean the IAC.

Start the engine, open up the throttle stop screw to raise idle and then unplug the IAC. Now, unscrew the idle stop screw to lower the idle down.

Lower it to a low steady idle. Only drop it as low as you feel confident it won't stall.

Now, unplug the battery for 30 mins to reset the computer.

Hook it back up, plug in the IAC and start the engine. Let it idle 2 mins.

Now turn everything on (ac too) and let idle 2 min.

The first two posts have all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix your idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. It includes how to dump the computer codes quickly and simply as one of the first steps. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix.
