I have a 2002 mustang gt 2v and was wanting to do some engine work this winter..i was gonna put forged internals and twisted wedge top end kit and maybe 6 months later put a procharger...do you think the block could handle that power plus what hp range do you think I would be in

The blocks handle 800rwhp easily. Use Arp hardware and don't look back. If you're wanting to run more find a Teksid (96-98 cobra and mark 8 blocks) or 03-04 cobra iron block (4 bolt mains). But the stock 2v block is strong, especially when comparing to a 302 block.

To add to that, the stock 6 bolt cast crank is good to 800 all day long too. The teksid in the cobra and some other various models had an 8 bolt forged crank that is a lot stronger. Most cars don't need that as 800 is a lot of power in the 2v world.

What kind of power you think I would be at with what I posted and I'm not taking to track just want a street beast

NO IDEA. I built a setup that should have made 500 all day that struggled to make 350 and ate itself on the dyno......

They make what they make.

I can say a blown trick flow headed setup with some compression will be a blast to drive and likely make some steam.

Thanks hopefully I get at least 450

Do you think my trans will hold 400hp flywheel

It will, just not for long. The input shaft will waive by by. (I'm guessing a 5 speed). We broke a t45 with 379/475tq on the sauce. It lasted a year or so of abuse and went in a glorious way (at the track lol).

We also broke the rear end and about every other stock part along the way. You have to be sure to build the car to handle the power. Our n2o car had a lot of suspension work and would cut 1.5 60 ft times with that small amount of power and hang the hoops each pass. It worked well.
