I’m looking for an ‘03-‘04 Cobra IRS for my Booger.

It seems to be hard to get here in Tulsa.

If you happen to live roughly within about 600 miles of me, would y’all help me out and see if you hear if one in your area for a decent price? ($500-$800)

I can send you the money through PayPal and the come to visit and pick it up from you or the original owner in your area.

I will treat y’all to some good beer and possibly an artisan 1/4 pounder meal at McDonald’s .

Seriously though, tough to find them here.

There is a company called Midway Mustang in Dewitt, IA (about an hour from me) that parts out Cobras, GT500s, GT350s, Coyote cars, and started dabbling in SRTs, Vettes and slowmaros. I bet he has a few of them. I'll check for you. I bought the replacement axle for my '11 there, as well as my Cobra bumper.

Very cool Nick, thanks buddy.

I kind of hope you find one, I can come visit the motherland then. I haven’t been back since 1985.

Well he got back to me quickly and said he doesnt currently have any. They sell like hot cakes. I'll keep an eye out on his FB page, and check with him periodically. I would love to meet up with you over Mcdonalds and beer, lol. I accept no less than a McRib as a finders fee tho.

Hmmmm, Iowa City 1985 and now... You probably wont be able to find your way around. Its changed dramatically since I was going to school there in '04-'06, let alone the 20 years before then.

Of course you could buy a salvaged car and then you have the coyote engine and trans for that next up date you do or just jump right on the coyote swap band wagon. :jester:
Just say'n :stir:

With that mindset, I would look for an '03-'04 Cobra for the engine, trans, IRS, and anything else salvagable. I have seen Erik (Midway Mustang) post some that have front end damage where I know he has been able to use all those parts.

I used facebook yesterday........

A guy locally has an '03 cobra IRS with no brakes on it. He said it has a complete set of FTBR bushings and tie rod ends on it.

A complete set (depending which set he has) of Full Tilt bushings for an IRS run between $700-$800! Then another couple hundred for the tie rods. I wasn't planning on blowing that kind of cash right off.

What should I offer or offer should I accept to get it? Would a grand seem too insulting?

The unit I picked up around Christmas sounds almost exactly like what your looking at. The only difference being mine came with the MM competition IRS grip package and a fully rebuilt rear end with 4.10 FRPP gears. I paid $1000.
