Fortunately my wife knows me as well as you seem to in this regard and is on board, or just knows better. I don't know if I should be happy or ashamed of myself.

Closing got pushed back to Monday anyway. :D
I'm gonna go with happy, dude. This is your hobby, and you sound a little too down on yourself. Change that narrative, man. Getting a new fox is exciting! Everything will work out.

How does anyone who owns a fox not know the condition of their own strut towers? Seems like the #1 spot to watch out for regardless of condition
For what info I've gathered on him based on his IG profile and our common friend, he's a corvette guy, works 7 12s, and isn't completely familiar with foxes. He bought it 4 mos ago. So, there's a lot of room for misjudgement in there.

I have been eyeballing another option. There's another white coupe in the Dallas area that has a 2.3T swap in it. A/c, heat, etc. all work. Appears to be decent, but not quite as clean as the one I'm going to look at Sunday. The ad says it's currently running 17#s of boost so it can't be a complete slouch. Haven't made up my mind on if its a good idea or not.

I like it. Different.

Not sure I can drive a Mustang without the V8 growl though.

I've actually been toying with the idea of building a Model T with a 2.3L Turbo as my next project

Yeah, that's my hang up too. But, it's already 5 lug, the interior is reasonably clean, it has some sort of suspension work done, decent wheels. I can always toss a 302 back in easily later on. If the deal Sunday doesn't go through, I'll go to Dallas on a 'work' trip next week and check it out. I mean, I need to go anyway, but I'll make a detour down there to check the car out too.

I too need the V8 sound, but wouldn’t judge you for wanting the turbo noise.
It's less about the turbo noise and more about having a clean, presentable body and interior. the FB groups seem to have everyone in a tizzy about posting their cars for anywhere north of $10k. And people are starting to pay that!!! So, the demand is growing. I need to get something clean, and soon.

I was actually thinking about doing the 2.3T swap some time ago.... done right they will make great power and pull on a V8 easily. just sayin.

You can’t say things like that in this thread. He wants a clean car that he doesn’t put on jack stands!

I wonder how much (if any) weight is saved in the front end by having the 4 cyl turbo version. May handle a little better.
