Not a bad idear, but the cup would still be where i put it now, and we'de be in the backseat. I've done it before in a foxbody, i'll do it again. Its not easy. But, nothing in life worth it is easy.

Here's both types of holders.
On the passenger side, the transmission tunnel is higher towards the front of the seat, so the holder must be moved rearward. There's enough room to flip the orientation of the cup holder one & it still just clears the emergency brake handle.
The passenger seat is all the way back.

BTW, the inverter is temporary until I can modify an existing DC-DC converter for the laptop. The new laptop has a different size barrel connector.

Thanks for the pics. I think my OCD would keep me from using that. I thought it might sorta sit more over the passenger seat. Good info though!
