Update time, I've been side tracked with some other projects, but the Mustang is still moving forward. I'm not going to do a step by step, just an update and a big picture dump.
The day I started doing bodywork, I realized the doors were worse than I thought they were, a rust free set off doors popped up on Facebook, so I went and snagged them, I also got the front clip from the same car, I didn't really need it, but the guy said if I was taking the doors, I had to take it too. I had some fitment issues with the passenger door, it was sticking out about 1/4 inch from the cowl, I tried to fudge it, but ended up cutting the upper hinge off the door and welding it back on in the correct position. All of the bodywork is done, everything is in primer, and tonight I seam sealed the doors and cut them and the door jambs on the car in. I still need to remove the quarter glasses, hang the sheet metal back on, and prep the bumper covers.
I might try for paint this weekend, but I think that may be pushing it, I'm tired.

I've learned so much from this thread, like the pic above mounting fenders on a ladder to work on them. Good to read that you're in primer now, huge step in the right direction.
No problem, I wish I was better at stopping to take pictures, usually I don't think about it until what ever I'm doing is already done. I only used the ladder to prime them, it's not sturdy enough to actually do work on.
I found an autobody stand at HF for a decent price, which is nice to hold a hood or fender but only one at a time:

Yep, that's what my doors are on, I didn't want to buy 2 more, so that's where the ladder came in.I found an autobody stand at HF for a decent price, which is nice to hold a hood or fender but only one at a time:

The purple one right? Clean the absolute hell out of that thing before you use it.
I used one of those for the primer, I sprayed the paint with an old Devilbiss GTI.
I have used the purple gun for paint before, they work fine, like JustinL said, take it apart and clean it good, they are full of grease.

You said you flip cars , what are your ideas on this one now that its going to be pretty good. When your done it could be a six thousand dollar car . Also can you find another in the area where you live.
This thread is both the best thing and the worst thing. It makes me love my 90 so much more because I have a hundred little projects to do, but it makes me want to sell my 70 so I can afford the hundred little projects.

I still think this one is a keeper, at least for a while. I have other plans for this car, but it has to be painted first, this is just stage 1, kind of like getting a base line. Don't let my wife think it is worth any money, she hates it.
She hates the car??? Im familiar with that. You could keep it for a few years, and fool with it a little because you never know where these are going.
Just don't try to do the hundred little projects all at once, that's how guys end up with a car that's been torn apart for years.
She hates my motorcycle too! That's kind of the plan, I'll know when it's time for it to go.
If shes anything like mine she will be standing there when the guy comes with the stack of hundreds and never say good job or thanks.
She does appreciate the car flipping, it's how we've funded everything from family vacations to braces for the kids, it also totally funds my car-motorcycle hobby, I never take household money for my toys. She is also surprised that I've kept her around the way I get rid of cars, trucks, bikes, and parts!
