Tool Review Time

I still have it, he said he didn't need it back and to loan it to someone else in the group if-needed. I hate having someone else's stuff and not giving it back.
I still have bad dreams of 8 track tapes " I borrowed" and never gave back.. Not purposely, just the way it happened....

Thinking of picking up this box from HF... My existing one is overflowing and I like the large lower drawers for drill motors and impact guns .. I would like to buy HF's largest box, but I just don't have the room....
With my dodge leaving, I might have room for a smaller box like this....

The rotating head can be handy for using it as a third hand. If you are pounding the heck out of something in the vice to bend it, the rotating head can move. The position locks into place with the same tightening force that clamps the jaws.
The pipe teeth in not directly below the main jaws can be handy on odd shape items.
If it’s well made, (tight tolerances and quality castings), I’d use it a lot.

OK, I follow you about being able to rotate it...... That sounds pretty handy to me.... I have been without a vise for 10 years and I want to get a nice one.... The "good" wiltons don't seem any better than most of the other brands, but are still 3 or 4 times more expensive.....
I see good reviews for these Capri vises....

Just catching up on this thread, so here’s my opinion. A vice is a vice. The bigger the better. The important thing is how it’s mounted to the workbench. No matter how good the vice is, if it’s mounted like $hit, it ain’t gonna work good for you.
Whatever one you get, make sure you can sit a house on it without it moving…… and you’ll have yourself a nice vice!

P.s. I love all the pics of Bentley in your posts! Good dogs are awesome!!

Can anyone recommend a hose end sprayer for washing cars... I think I have tried every kind there is except the " Fire Hose" kind with the giant off/on handle.. NONE of them seem to last very long.....
thanks

Now were talking 'Old" school there....
With just an o ring to replace, they last much longer than the cheap copies of the chrome squeeze handles ones that are available now.
I did get a newer style handle type recently at Ace or True Value. It’s heavy, plastic or rubber coated with a twist chrome nose that is not seizing up like the cheap ones.

Adams polishes sells one that looks like all the rest, but gets great reviews from the people who bought them

Let me show you all one of the coolest tools that I've seen in a long while and it is [not] one of those unicorn tools that you would only use on rare occasions.

For me, this is like having a [Cross Tip] screwdriver:

When I first heard of this thing I was insulted by it. O_o I mean, I already solder and shrink wrap my connections so, what could be better than that??? :fuss:

This thing is

@jrichker , I think you might even appreciate it. :nice:

One use for this tool that I never see mentioned anywhere is that you can use this to repair "wire bites" created by slobs that use bite connectors. The bonus is that you no longer have to cut the wire to repair it.
