EFI to carburetor. What to do for throttle cable

No. You'll need a Lokar or modify a stock one to work. You'd have to cut off the spring from stock cable and make a custom cable mount. The ball adapter for the end can be purchased cheap. There may be a kit available to make a stock cable work.

Just really digested your post. No idea if a cable would work from a factory carbureted model fox. I would say " No " because you will still need a bracket.

You will get a better throttle feel with your cable attached out that far on your carb lever, but need to check for full throttle..

Is the ball stud movable on the carb linkage? I'm thinking maybe the ball stud should be on the outer part of the linkage (thereby shifting the bracket towards the driver's side) and then maybe that will allow the bracket to align with some existing holes on the intake. It just seems like the intake would have provisions to accommodate the stock bracket.

I did put the ball stud on the outer side of linkage and got everything hooked up. I did have to drill a new hole for it to line up. The intake was off a 289 and I'm not sure why the the bracket didn't fit

Looks like a winner. :nice:

Now take it off, clean it up, paint it, and reinstall. :D

I added the [resolved] tag to the thread.

Does [anybody] happen to have the part number for that carb bracket? It's from an 82, correct?
