Too much for me to repair in my current housing situation

Hey, I’m in the Santa Cruz area San Jose area of California and I lost my housing started staying in hotels with my two dogs and my pony started getting assaulted as people were trying to steal it .
He’s parked a bit of Friend driveway and it’s just weighing on me because financially I just don’t have the extra right now to put it back in shape because the cost of staying in these rooms is really expensive.
When your vehicle is assaulted that many times it really weighs on you. I almost vomited. The first time I saw my ignition destroyed.
I met a loss of what to do if I just let it go as is or just keep holding onto it and fix it slow slowly. I just get sick to my stomach when I get around it because it is so unnecessary what these people were doing.
I know it’s not the Saline or Cobra are the newest or the oldest model, but it was a premium model for 04 and it was a bad ass little ride. The physically and became really difficult for me to drive because I’ve gotten physical limitations now from the cancer sickness. Treatment was performed on me three different times as it kept coming back.
So all the shifting and trying to be in traffic was just too much.
Plus, you can’t even fit half a body in the trunk so moving around with two dogs are cooler and our stuff was ridiculously hard.
I rented a vehicle for the first four months and then just bought an old suburban in my ponies just sitting there in the driveway with the cover.
The window portion of the convertible top was broken into three times and they ruined the lock on the door, so my original key opens the trunk and the fob will lock and unlock it but there’s a different ignition key. My secondary security system had to be pulled, somebody drove into the driver side back corner panel and left a ding. It needs to have them rubber things on the shocks or stretch or whatever they are replaced and the spoiler and got broken with the little light underneath got cracked, but the engine is sound 120 thousand miles..
before all this happened, I listed it for sale and within the first few days I had almost been asking price, but then I got a notice we had to leave our house and so I stopped the process.
I don’t even know what to list it for and I’m just asking advice. Would you fix it up and then sell it or would you let it go as it is? They have to have somebody help with the work so that’ll cost me. I don’t know. Just don’t get why people can’t leave other people stuff alone and get a job and buy their own stuff.

Well i'm sorry to hear about your troubles, both housing and medical related.

People are generally trash and this just proves it. Since you said its hard to drive now anyways, it might be time to let her go. One thing i might do is just take the spoiler off completely since its completely cracked open. A lot of new edge mustangs drive around spoilerless and they still look good. Just one less thing that visually will devalue the car.

I don't know what these go for as far as sale prices so i can't help you there.

Any idea on when your housing situation will become more stable? I can't imagine staying in a hotel forever is favorable economically.

Thank you for the suggestion. I never considered that! I’m in the Silicon Valley of California and rental prices are out of control! We’ve been having to compete with all these big tech companies who’ve invaded and bought out everything to put their employees from out of state/country in.
You’ve gotta make 3 x’s the rent and old apartments 1 x bd 250 sq ft $2,700-3,500! It’s ridiculous. I’m always staying here right now. Just stay connected to Stanford University and once I get all my side effects taken care of. I’m out of here they can help. They don’t know how to drive anyway and it’s annoying!! especially when you have a red car and everybody’s got red car rage!! that’s a real thing!

I hear that. I was born in the East Bay area (Oakland/Richmond) and spent my childhood there.

I'm down in San Diego and rent prices are probably just a bit behind the Silicon Valley area, but still astronomical. Let us know what you end up doing with the Stang.

Thought about leaving california? If you can't afford to live man, maybe it's time to move on. Seems like Cali is becoming more and more for the rich elite class, all while complaining about the rich elite class. doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, but it's a thing. Good luck to you in whatever you do though.

Seriously! I’d be gone yesterday if I weren’t in this clinical trial at Stanford university for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma!!! Gas is almost 7.00!!! ‍ And half your tank is wasted setting in traffic!

Ugh... I know what that is like. You don't have the energy to do :poo: and when you're not at an appointment, you're thanking you're lucky stars that you're not at an appointment.

Best wishes for [all] of that.
