Can anyone tell me what this is hanging underneath my car

That looks like an O2 sensor connector.


Look at your exhaust manifold for something that looks like this:

You have two of them on each side. Follow the harness from this sensor to the connector. You will likely find that one of them is disconnected.

Seems odd for it to just be hanging out under there.

It's the plug for one of the rear O-2 sensor. It's obviously not plugged in.

It was the O2 sensor.. I took my car in for an oil change and I heard the guy say that my O2 sensor was hanging so he plugged it back in. Glad that happened because I was going to buy an O2 sensor and throttle position sensor because it was throwing those 2 codes. Replaced the tps and have no service engine soon light on now. That makes me happy but around the same time, maybe a day or two before my oil change my car overheated going on the highway. I think I may post another thread
