Views vs attendance - check in and share your experience!

I was just looking at the views for my build thread and found that I've now past 34k. The thing I've also noticed is the amount of people posting/replying, which led me down a rabbit hole of looking up the most viewed II threads and this is what I come up with:

A lot of the more viewed posts are newer, I believe that a good number of these views are related to web searches and possibly shared links. Those of us with IIs are normally a small group anyway, there's no sense in being shy - create an account, introduce yourself, create your own thread and invite other owners to the group! We'd love to have you! And don't forget to share pics! And if you're an active member now, sound off!

The more traction a thread gets, the more it gets pulled up as reference material.

It's no secret that for IIs and Fox are our largest forums and now with LLMs everywhere, we are referenced a lot.

Understood. I'm [hoping] to draw some more members and, ultimately, more interaction.

I mean it's fairly well understood that Stangnet is one of the best knowledge resources, especially for Fox cars. Unfortunately f-book is where a lot of people migrated to, though I know not all of us are on there anymore, if some ever were.

You know... its a Mustang II... the most hated mustang.
In secret everybody likes it because of size, practicality, power-to-weigth-ratio, steering rack (not that sloppy feel of the older hence cooler looking mustangs)....
So... it's just a few fearless pioneers that don't care what other people think about them, who post officially on a forum about this lovely cars. I think this pioneers can also wear trash bags as cloths and would still be very cool dudes.

Admittedly, I like the Cobras and the IIs that share that body style.

I am not a big fan of the, "Ghia"? (I think its called) that looks like a 2-door Grenada.

I think that one of the main draws here could be that there isn't the general audience that you find over on f-book. So many people jump onto someone's post just to bash. You even get that on YT and other more mainstream outlets. I mean we all have heard it all before, but it [does] get old. At least here you shouldn't have that aspect of it all.

The other thing is that we have a lot of dudes with a [lot] of Ford and Mustang experience that help with much of the general Ford knowledge wrapped into IIs.

Been busy looking stuff up for my upcoming big project and am finding a lot of info that pops up on f-book through searches. It'd be kind of nice if that info was here too. We're not all on f-book anymore, but it seems that's the place to be now, at least in this community. It actually may not be an all bad thing though, the drama can for sure stay there....

On another note, I've noticed some old members that used to be here that are still active there.

Exactly. We don't want or need the fluff, gatekeeping, or the political commentary which all seemed rampant before I dropped off over there. I'll find some of the stuff I've been looking for eventually and it'll be shared somewhere here then.

An old member here that came back cause I don't like the bookface format. I was a member at MustangII.net forum and before that the Mustang II Members Association on Yahoo Groups. I prefer the forum style of interaction as it groups conversations by topic and is easier for my simple mind to follow than a bunch of separate conversations on the same or similar topics.

When I [first] joined, I made the mistake of screwing up which year Fox Bodies were 4-Lug and which were 5. I mean... I even got the cars right but screwed up the year (for SVO, I think) and Ohhhhhhhhhhhh boy.

You'd think I'd taken the Lord's name in vain during the sacrament. lol

Wasn't aware of the Yahoo groups but was on the .net site. Never really posted anything there though. Kinda like here in the first few years, basically just lurked and gathered info.
