    I already have pi conversion and am planning on keeping the compression at 10:1 with forged pistons and agressive cams just not sure what cams will be very streetable. Not planning on going FI just an everyday driver. Who is a good tuner in the Southeast?

    My 96 gt needs an engine. Should I build this one or swap a used engine in with 60 to 70 thousand miles on it. I'm looking at maybe a PI engine from about 1250 to 1450 dollars. Would it be cheaper to build mine since I already have PI heads on it? What do you guys think would be cheaper?

    it runs fine and strong until oil gets on the mass air meter. what kind of catch can do i need and how do i plumb it in?

    yes it is leaking out of the intake pipe to the air filter and onto the inner fender then on the ground. it has a new pcv valve. it does smoke out the exhaust but only at WOT when it sucks the oil out of the pipe. I have not done any mods to the pcv system. What could be causing alot of vacuum?

    I am getting alot of oil in the intake pipe does this mean the engine is worn out. The oil is leaking on the ground from the intake pipe. I was thinking of getting a good used engine from MPS autosalvage 99-04. and swapping it one weekend. would it be a good swap? Would it be fairly easy? Thanks.

    Manual steering rack?

    I am thinking about putting a manual steering rack on my 96 GT, but I don't know what all I would have to do to make it work. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks.

    96 GT using oil.

    I have noticed that there is condensation in the oil cap now. Does this mean I need a pcv valve? And also noticed today that going down a steep grade and letting the engine keep the speed down it started smoking really bad and puffed a little out when I got back in the throttle and cleared up again.

    The car runs good. I don't drive no more than 500 miles before it uses a quart of oil and none of the plugs have ever fouled out. and the gas mileage is still good. There is a good bit of oil in the intake. Would the oil seperator stop the use of oil?

    3:73 or 4:10 gear

    If you can get the 4.10s for cheap I would go with them they are a great gear. Had 4.10s in my 03 gt and it still got 24mpg on the highway.

    I was just woundering when an engine is worn out does the oil usually come back threw the intake pipe. Cause I took the intake pipe off and there is oil in it. Is the engine worn out(it does have over 210,000 miles on it), or is there something else wrong with it? I did a head swapp on it a year...

    When the fan comes on it moves air alot better than the old fan. I'll see what happens.

    We put the fan on and it works fine. how do u know if it is a single speed or dual speed fan?
