    NPD's Power Brake Conv. Kit

Does anyone here have NPD's manual to power brakes conversion kit? It's the booster / MC kit that's supposed to use the manual brake pedal? I've been buying parts for my manual 4-wheel drum to power 4-wheel disc setup and I need to settle on a booster kit. I've looked into keeping the...

    engine in!!!

Looks great! I'll be swapping in a '91 HO (converted to a carb setup) in my '70 vert. The pictures are helpful. I have a question regarding the AC compressor. Is it safe to just plug the ports and leave it on/running (not do damage to compressor)? I'll be installing the compressor setup on...

    narrowing a chrome wheel

Why is that? I'm in the same boat...I have 18x9.5 wheels that I was going to have 1.5" cut out so they fit on the front of my '70. I am dreading the price of having them re-chromed. Is it just not that noticeable? Can you post pictures of yours? I'm really interested in seeing what the look...

Amazing what a little paint can do!

I'm curious...how did you clean the axle and spindle before powder coating them? Were they media blasted, wire wheeled, or something else? Car looks great, by the way! Thanks :D

    Source for T5 for Swap

On my long to-do list for my '70 convertible, I plan on swapping from the C4 to a T5. I've been debating whether to buy new or search for a used T5 and rebuild it to handle some decent power. Anway, the reason for this post is that I found a T5 locally for a good price, however it is out of...

Magnaflow stainless 2.5 kit and convertibles

I also can get the kit shipped to my door for $350. That's why I'm pretty sure I'm going to get it, even if it needs modified. I had Magnaflow on my '00 and loved it (and had many compliments on it). It was not quite as loud as I wanted it, but my car had 4 cats. My '70 has none, so the...

1st project on my '70: brakes. Advice needed...

I was thinking of doing just this...no reason to spend money on something I'm eventually going to replace. The problem is finding the assembly. As far as I know, nobody reproduces it. I can find them on eBay, but they aren't cheap. I'm in the Columbus are, so I'm heading over to to the fall...

1st project on my '70: brakes. Advice needed...

Thanks for the advice, but I've spent a lot of time searching this site for information. That's why I don't have many posts ('cause I usually find what I'm looking for) and how I found out about the JMC MC. I am hoping that someone would post something here that maybe I have...

1st project on my '70: brakes. Advice needed...

Some of you may know that I recently bought a basic ’70 convertible, with the 2 bbl 302, C-4 tranny, and 4-wheel manual drum brakes. I have a lot of things that I need to do to my car, but it is drivable. My thoughts are to rebuild/replace all of the mechanicals and then save the...

Magnaflow stainless 2.5 kit and convertibles

Thanks. 5"-6" isn't bad at all. My 2000 GT that I sold had H&R Super Sport springs...which made my car about that far off the ground...if that. I can live with that. My only concern would be if I were to hit roadkill and get caught by the X. I have a bunch of other things to knock out on...

Magnaflow stainless 2.5 kit and convertibles

Looks good...a little low, but not unreasonable. What ground clearance is that 4"? It's hard to tell with just photos and nothing to reference. Since you're running coil-overs, it's a little hard to compare how low your car sits to the ground. Do you have any larger photos of your car from...

Magnaflow stainless 2.5 kit and convertibles

$370 shipped is a good deal. I know a company that's been willing to give me a great deal for Magnaflow products. I ordered the cat-back kit for the 2000 Mustang GT I used to have and it was around $340 shipped. That was 3+ years ago. I just contacted them today and asked for the kit for...

F-code 302 cylinder number and firing order

Is this correct for a 1970 F-code 302? Firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. The cylinder numbers are 1-2-3-4 on the passenger side, from front (radiator) to back (firewall). Then 5-6-7-8 are on the driver side from front to back? Thanks in advance!

Magnaflow stainless 2.5 kit and convertibles

OK...thanks for the info. I had a Magnaflow setup on my last Mustang and loved it. I would love to put another one of their products on my '70.

Part of the club - 70 vert (dial-up warning)

I'm already on this site daily and have been for about 5 years. I just didn't post much when I had my '00 GT. Now that it's gone and I have a new toy that I know little about, I'll be posting regularly with questions and updates. The interior is ok. It's good enough for now to wait and do...

Part of the club - 70 vert (dial-up warning)

I've said in the past that I was going to buy a classic Stang. Well, I'm officially part of the club. I picked up a '70 convertible with a basic F-code engine. I paid $6k for it. What do you think? It's hard to tell everything from these pictures, but it runs. The floorboards are new. The...
