    I guess that is the obvious answer. I was wondering if they were all "standardized" with respect to the ability to cross mount in nearly any vehicle. The trouble with the internet is that it's too easy to ask a question when the obvious answer sits in my garage!

    The 05 and rain?

    This 05 GT is much better in the rain than prior stangs, but as will ANY high performance RWD car, too much throttle will kill the handling. Easy does it. If I know if will rain, snow, etc, I drive my AWD Audi ever time!

    Dealer inserted the 2 missing tranny bolts and this cured the rattling diesel engine noise, but the 2800 rpm metallic rattle is there. Its funny, but I don't recall this noise BEFORE the tranny bolts were inserted. I'm still seeking the cause and solution. Sounds like to loose heat shield on...

    Dash Rattle

    Yes the dash rattle is more metal-esque - not a plasticy squeek. Definitely from the right side dash area. What can I do to brace it to stop the rattle?

    The drivers side door is an easy fix. Mine was a window track rivet at the rea of he internal frame that popped out inside the driver's side door. Repaired at the dealer for no charge. I am concerned however about having them rip the dash apart because that can lead to more rattles.

    Has anyone identified the location of the right side dash rattle which occur on rough road surfaces such as concrete? The rattle seems to come from the right side of the dash. My 05 GT has the interior upgrade package with the aluminum dash. I really don't want to have the dealer tear it...

    While I agree with you in principle, I think that 99% of all vehicles on the road today have airbags. So, maybe this is not so much of an issue.

    I just got my Stang Gt back from the dealer for a few service items at 5800 miles: 1. Rotate tires - $10.00 plus tax 2. Front end popping noise – this was diagnosed on my last visit but not all of the parts were in - dealer order part - Again?? They said last time they were ordering...

    There is a TSB for the gas tank refilling problem. Ford with replace the tank with one that has inproved venting. Or, simply insert the gas nozzel UPSIDE DOWN. This defeats the shutting off issue except when the tank is atually full.

    I have a fix for you on the issue of reaching the seatbelt. On the lower side of each seat is a strap that can be unbuttoned. Then you wrap it around the lower portion of the seatbelt. This will then hold it out a bit at the bottom. Then you can reach DOWN with your hand an easily reach it...

    2005 gt break in procedures

    My primary point was that the break in was done in the first 25 miles. And, more than likely it was done during testing before it left the factory. Get over it and drive the car.

    06 order, can you change your wheel option?

    Have the dealer change it via the online system. i ordered mine with the saddle interior. I lost sleep for 2 -3 weeks because I really wanted the updgraded red leather interior. The dealer changed it online!
