    Bellhousing Runout

Maybe use some grease or something on those studs so it'll be easy to get that bellhousing off. Checking the runout is actually the part I didn't do in my Tremec 3550 install.

    71 mustang electrical issues

yeah, I bet it is the battery. You can pull it out and take it to one of the parts stores to have it tested.

    Not So Good Vibrations

Yeah, I'd like to have that transmission from Keisler, but I just rebuilt this one and unless there is somethign wrong with it I don't even want to take it out of the car. The 73 mustang transmission tunnel is big enough for the 3550, but the top of the case is right on the tunnel. Seems like...

    Bad Vibration at 70+ MPH

I'm also struggling with a vibration from 65 up. Thought it was the pinion angle so I changed that and it helped a bit. But now I've got a really bad vibration above 4000 RPM in all gears under acceleration. I hate it. I changed my u-joints, but need to drop my drive shaft and go have the...

I second that and personally think the pedal feel is a lot better.

    Not So Good Vibrations

I guess I was happy with the results after I put in that 2.5 degree shim because I hadn't really worried about the vibration until this week. I got on it and found that in every gear there was a really bad vibration from 4000 RPM up. BLAGH!! I think I'm going to stop driving my car till I can...

    Restoration Order

It will be easier to do some things (brake lines and engine bay detailing) before the engine and tranny are in place. I did a poor boy restoration on my mustang. It had to run since it was the only car I had So I did things out of order, usually during the summer. I've got lots of pictures...

Here is a gear calculator. T5 Speedo calibration I think I got the red gear for my stang. I don't recall where I bought the gear though.

    Restoration Order

If money is no issue then get you some aluminum heads to go on that engine and maybe go with a 302 stroker motor. It will be lighter than the 351w. Search the forum I think there was a good discussion about the strokers a while back. 1. Wiring harness (I used a 21 circuit EZ harness, more work...

Tremec 3550 TKO Slave Cylinder Bracket

Oh my car is fine. I want to say I have a 3/4 master cylinder. If you look at the hydralic setup page on my site I've got all the part listed there. Posted via Mobile Device

Tremec 3550 TKO Slave Cylinder Bracket

I got a question about my transmission install that's outlined on my horribly out of date webpage. J.K's Mustang Page They wanted to know how I constructed the bracket that holds the slave cylinder in place on the transmission case. I explained that I just used several pieces of 1 inch 1/4...

Debating on leaf spring vs. 4-link

Could be something wrong with the alignment. I've got subframe connectors welded on my stang. They made a huge improvement in the way my car handles. There is still some flex in the chassis though.

Got some questions on a 73 coupe

That's not a bad price for the car, but I think the floor pans are expensive to replace. Plus if the floor pans are rusted I'd expect there to be rust in other places. Check the frame to make sure the structure is still sound. Check around the wheel wells for rust in the body panels. The 302...

Debating on leaf spring vs. 4-link

Composite and fiberglass leafs?? Hum, I hadn't seen those. I've got a set of the 4.5 leaf springs from Mustangs Plus. My car preformed really well on the autocross course, but is a bit rough on the street. I changed my rearend pinion angle with a set of those shims (I can't think of what...

289ci rebuild vs. crate motor... opinions please

I went the crate route way cheap and bought a 351w shortblock from City Motor Supply Catalogs I've got about 5000 miles on the engine now with no problems so far. I think I was out 750 with shipping. Crazy huh??

Changed My Crane 3000 Electronic Points Controller

I've had one of those Crane 3000 electronic points replacement modules on my car for 12 years using it without any issues, or so I thought. I recently replaced my old unit with a new one and discovered that I had to advance my timing so much I'd need to move my distributor. I used a timing...

Congress to Ford: drop the 2010 Mustang, get cash

Ford has thought about dropping the mustang a few times, but us owners have always convinced them that they should keep building a pony car. The 4.6L motor has come a long way from the pathetic debut it had. My brother's 05 gets 16/17 MPG in town and as much as 25/26 on the hwy. I still think...

    fuel pump inlet and outlet

I'll see if I can snap one for you when I get home. I'm wondering where your original gas line (pump to tank) is though. Wait that's not a 73 mustang's engine bay is it?
