    gears, and pricing.

concerning the 2nd part of your question... NO, gears are one of the best, most-felt mods you can ever do. 2v mods WILL benefit from a gear change. do not fear the gear!

    DIY prochamber install

since we have smog here, i want a prochamber but hate too keep going to a shop to swap it in just for a 10min test. so i thought of doing it myself with my portable tq gun. how easy is it to install? just bolts and unplug the MIL?

    midpipe/cams Q's

visually, its only minor - they check to see if you have cats. performance of the cars doesn't matter as long as it passes. i need something that WILL pass, whether its cams only, midpipe only or, if possible, both. i just dont want to spend thousands of dollars to end up not passing.

    midpipe/cams Q's

im still in a hard debate with myself as to the combo which ill go with. the problem is we have aircare here and its about as strict as cali-smog so its tough to pass. i want VT stg. 1 cams, shorty headers and a catted midpipe as id hate to keep swapping. Questions: 1) in an...

Do 18" rims really slow you down?

17'' rims perform better? as in drag handling or corner handling? assuming cornering, go 18's. bigger rims mean u'll most likely be putting on a thinner sidewall tire, and thinner sides mean less body roll for better cornering. that's why every road course race circuit uses 18+ rims with...

    Cams vs NOS

ask yourself what your goal is. if its to extract as much power from your wallet as you can, go nitrous. just be prepared to invest on items which will safeguard you from nitrous backfire and all the other "goodies" associated with these systems (ex-owner of a nitrous-injected RX-7, trust me i...

gas milage iwth VT Stage 1's

As the title says, for those with VT Stage 1 cams, did your gas milage go down? If so, how much? And is it safe to keep my predator tune (with maxed out timing) upon install of these cams? I don't have a dyno in my area?

    brakestand Q's

I have 4.10s and everytime i do a rolling runout (line lock soming soon), i hit the limiter and end up having to shift to 2nd. since ill be getting a l/lock system, how do i do a brakestand? do it in 2nd gear and just rev higher before dumping the clutch? thanks, Carlos

    opinion needed, winter setup

for safety sake, don't buy just 2 tires for the back. there are even some shops that refuse to put on only 2 tires for winter. get all 4 winter tires and have a better chance of living to see the next summer. this is one of those don't-cut-corners-or-you-can-die issues.

air fuel ratio na and nitrous injected

well with a wideband, if you keep it within stoich limits, you're good. some widebands have programs that allow you to measure the most important thing in tuning: rate of acceleration. you can make sure the readings are always in the "green" area while maximizing how fast you accel from one...

    stock exhaust Q

damn, the ones I want wont fit 2.25'', MRT has a warning about that. I just wanted 3.5'' as I'm doing the Cobra rear bumper mod and those bumpers scream 3.5'' tips. well ill go see how it looks with my stock tips and go from there. thanks, gentlemen.

    stock exhaust Q

im thinking of the MRT 3.5'' rolled tips, but says it wont fit the stock 2.25'' exhaust. Ive heard most ppl say our stock exhausts are 2.50'' (which the MRT's will fit). Who's right? I am assuming the Bullitt system is the same as a GT sans minor muffler changes.

    louder tone

oh boy, too many choices:bang: so there's 3 types: the Mac O/R H, Catted Prochamber and Non-catted prochamber. Since I have somg in my area, I'll keep my stock catted midpipe and get an aftermarket mid. Which of the 3 is the one that increases tonal volume, but doesn't change the sound...

    louder tone

thanks guys. so when i see people say "mac o/r H", they mean the non-catted prochamber? Also, apparently, they only make mids for long tubes and shorties. I assume the stock headers are shorties?

the prochamber is catted right? or is it?
