pull the motor, disassemble it and take it to a machine shop and have it hot tanked, that way all that **** doesn't ruin anything else. just my .02

    svo motor questions

hey guys, i've got my brothers svo motor in my garage now and is going for a rebuild. i got a few questions. he wants decent power from this car, its mostly a street car and sometimes sees track time. i was figuring since its a 2.3t that 300-325 wheel hp would be a good round number...

SEFI 5.0?? What needs to be changed to drop it into a fox?

if the car is a 8cyl now, i think all you have to do is remove the intake and replace with the fox body setup, i think the non- mustang 5.0 cars the intake setup is towards the drivers side as to where the mustang is from the passenger side. dont really know what elec. parts or fuel parts need...

    k-member for drag car

I know, I know, not another k-member question, why dont i do a search? well i did, and mostly everything is street handling, street -strip cars. I have a drag car and its only duty is track. so my question is who else has a car for primarily drag racing and what k-member setup are you using...

    Can I beat LS1's or LT1's yet?

i'd say it would be close. my 2 best friends are gm guys with 2, 96 lt1's, one is an 96 ss 6-spd, the other 96 auto. the ss went 13.4 stock, the auto went 13.8 stock. the ss weighs 3700 lbs with driver. so given your weight and mods it would be close, unless they are modded too, its slim...

    Anyone have this fan?!?!?!!

i have run the black magic for 3 years now. they used to advertise that 300 hp max, that is a crock. i also have a be-cool 1 inch 1 row radiator. the car is now a dedicated track car but i have driven this setup on the streets. i have never had any cooling problems with 580hp at the...

Need Opinions on Trick Flow Street Heat Intake

i used the trackheat intake, a little bigger than the street heat and i loved it, i started out on a complete stock 5.0 with just the intake, and its sno-balled since, anyways, i was really impressed with the product and would not hesitate to buy another one. i really love the trickflow...

    roller rocker noise

i used harland sharp 1.6 roller rockers, no loud tapping noises, but the manufacturer did say that roller rockers are a little noisier than factory stamped rockers. sounds like they are a little loose or your lifters or lifter is failing.

    POR-15 versus Rust Encapsulator.........

my bestfriend works in a body shop, he says the por-15 is a better product, i have no clue, thats coming from him.

Rate your Rockers. I need recomendations.

harland sharp 1.6's are really sweet. had no problems taking them over 7000 rpm. i would use them over again on the next motor

    electric fan ???

a decent elec fan is the black magic from flex-a-lite. its a single 16inch i think.. it pulls upper 2000's cfm. works good, used it on the street with no problems, is great at the track to wire it to an on-off switch to let it run between rounds. install was simple too.

needed to put came from 351W into 86 roller 5.0?

dont just put them in...it wont work well, they may fit into your lifter bosses, might need some machine work but i'm not positive. the cam lobes will be different in construction between flat tappet and roller lifter. you would have to get a roller cam if its a roller block, its a better to...

    HELP ME WITH MY 84

it would probably be easier to just change to a carb setup, to go to multiport will be a lot more work and money involved. I dont blame you for wanting to get rid of the cfi, i had an 85 with that and it really sucked.

    27/10/15 on 8" draglites?

yes they will fit, i used to run M/T slicks in 26/10.5/15 on a 15x8 draglite and then went up to a 28/11.5/15. The 28 will fit good, except in the wheel well, i needed to trim a little of the plastic ground effects inside the wheel well so the tire wouldn't rub, the 27 inch should fit without...

    trickflow heads,1087 cam,and the stock ol'302

you will probably need to fly cut the pistons, remember the valves in a trick flow head are also "twisted, rotated some" compared to other aftermarket style heads. duration is the big key, the clay test is a no-brainer that will tell you exactly how much piston- valve clearance you have i would...

    TKO 500 install!!!!!!!!

if you dont want to modify your own crossmember, you can buy one from HPM, thats the one i used and it worked great. The TKO should come with another front yoke when you buy it, if not, check where you bought it from, i purchased my tko from D&D in michigan and they included the yoke with the...
