    Yeah that's pretty much it for mine as well, most of the W/H is rot so any welds that were there are long gone. Got any pics of your car, I'm also building a 65 vert (mild) restomod Excellent, that's what I was hoping for :nice:

    Thanks for the reply, it certainly isn't a big gap, about 1/8" for the most part, the two flanges have a slightly different angle of bend so the back part is flush and the front has a bit of a gap. Like this sideways "V" below if you can imagine it, doesn't look right and will feel pretty thick...

    Thanks for the info, I'll have to see what I can find that'll work, looks to me like the right size common nail with a tack weld would work, I didn't even think of using a screw, that may be the easiest.

    Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll try again when I get home. The vent window moves but it seems to be hung up in the center of it at the top? I did remove the felts and the rubber flap thing.

    I don't know why I'm having such grief with this, I have all the nuts and bolts off and the scissor lift out of the channel but I can't pull either the vent window unit or the door glass out. :mad: Any suggestions would be welcome, I've done this before and don't recall having a problem but...

    Well I got it, I stuffed a half dozen washers between the fender and rocker to hold it at bay. I didn't really think it would help as it was an up and down problem but apparantly it was pulling in a bit which caused it to come down as well. Pulled the washers out and it's sitting pretty :D
