    I have located an evaporator for a cheap price. If I purchase a sanden compessor, new condenser, and drier, besides the low and high lines, is there anything else I need? It looks like the evap unit has the expansion valve built in. I could build it for half of what a vintage air costs.

    390 bored to 427

    Putting a 428 crank into your 390 will yield you 410 CI. Some blocks have enough cylinder wall to safely bore to 428, some do not. You need to bore .080 over. My machinist says to use 360 truck blocks for the el cheapo 428.

    Request for Roller Rocker Stud Part Number (ARP)

    Comp Cams makes a conversion stud with 5/16 on the bottom, and 3/8 on top. Sounds a bit hoky, But I have a set waiting to be put on along with the 1.6 roller tip rockers.

    water pump hole leak

    You need a new water pump. That little hole is called a weep hole, to let you know that the seal keeping water out of the bearing has gone bad. In short time, the hot water will erode the bearing and either lock up, or chuck the fan through the radiator.

    I had a T bird with a 460 that I made into a derby car. When I first got it it didn't have a distributor, and being an ex chevy guy, I picked up a used dual point and dropped it in, without the drive shaft.     Oven cleaner for paint stripper?

    It all depends on the weather. You can leave it till it begins to dry. 30-45 minutes does well. Aircraft is by far the most potent on the market. Paint and decal remover aerosol is weaker, and oven cleaner is weaker yet. All of the above work better in warmer temps.

    I am swapping my three speed manual for a C4, in my 66 coupe. Shifters for the 67-69 are much more prevalent than the 65-66. Are there any differences besides the bezel styling?

    Is the T5 used in the four cylinder cars dimensionally the same as the world class T5? Has anyone performed this swap with a V8? I know it is not near as durable, but it is much cheaper.

    Cast iron frame posts It looks like there are 6 pieces to use the cast posts. The motor mounts, the cast posts, and something that looks like angle iron with a bolt through one end. What is that piece for?
