    checking the vaccum

    My car has a simliar problem sometimes. Close the choke all the way. Try and start it. It will crank but immediatly die. Open it a little bit. It should start. Let it run for a sec, then open it fully. Keep in mind, we may have different problems but the symptoms sound the same. Its worth a shot...

    Sputtering at full throttle?

    Whenever I go full throttle the car sputters bad and the exhaust pops. This always happens when I hit it from lower speeds, and sometimes when I hit it from around 50/60. I just recently had my float and idle set. The carb is a holley 600 4bbl. Motor is a 289 with a c4 tranny.
