    Point the rotor to the number one on the cap or point to the number one on the block? I guessl you can tell I am no mechanic.:shrug: I do my best to keep them in business.:)

When I took the fuel pump off and pulled the filter out of it there was thick reddish stuff in the bottom of the canister that the filter goes into. So this tells me maybe the fuel...

    Thanks guys. That gives me some good ideas. I am doing one section of the car at a time. Right now I am doing the engine and engine bay. Replacing a lot of 45 year old parts. Clean up and painting back of OE.

    I have used VHT on headers and it did not hold up. Not sure if the OE manifold would be any different or not. I am not sure but do not think the turbo parts gets the heat like the exhaust manifold.

    Yes, but have you used any of their manifold coating? If so, how does it do? It may look good but does it hold up? I really do not want to keep taking the manifold off.

    The more I look at the befor picture, the more I say to myself-why did they let if get in that bad of shape? Some people just do not take care of things. Or was it a Chop Shop?

    Well, I went out and started it and let it run for awhile then pulled it back into the garage. I have the Petronix on order and will be installing it when it comes in.
