I am wanting to take off my manifold and clean it up and then paint it. What is the best paint for this that will not peel off? Someone who has done this and has great results. Thanks, John
When I was at the West Springfield, MA swap meet a couple weekends ago, I ran into this vendor who offers exhaust manifold coating. They had a sample cast iron manifold there that looked pretty good.

I have used the VHT hi temp paint on my turbo parts and it had never flaked or discolored.
by turbo part i mean the headers to the crossover, and they get at hot as your manifolds doI have used VHT on headers and it did not hold up. Not sure if the OE manifold would be any different or not. I am not sure but do not think the turbo parts gets the heat like the exhaust manifold.
Yes, but have you used any of their manifold coating? If so, how does it do? It may look good but does it hold up? I really do not want to keep taking the manifold off.
The Eastwood exhaust manifold paint works great. I buy the cans and put it on with a foam brush.
Very durable. I use it on brake drums and calipers also.

Also, do you put yours in an oven and bake them or just let the engine do the baking?
I let the engine do the baking. It dries plenty well without baking it.
