Want to go from a 6 to V8?

Not really that hard anyway.

Before I did the 351w/T5 swap from the 200/3 speed, the most automotive work I had ever done was changing the water pump on a 92 F150 302, and one on a 86 Cougar 3.8.

That was my first real automotive work, and I didn't find it difficult then.

Since then I've done just about everything except setting up gears, and rebuilding a tranny, though I think I could re build a T5 at this point.

I've set up gears and rebuilt transmissions and neither is too hard. Just like almost any project, you break it down into manageable pieces and carefully do one thing at a time. Forums like this and the internet are great places to learn how to do most anything. That said, I really like buying videos on how to for complex projects. Check out Bad Shoe productions for auto trans and gear set ups. I used Hanlon's videos for rebuilding manual transmissions. :)
