Which head bolts enter a water passage?

Update: The bolts are ARP, motor has not been started yet, and I did use sealant on the bolts originally. :nice: Hate those senior moments. Thanks for the help.

Which head bolts enter a water passage?

I know this is a very strange question, but I woke up in a cold sweat last night, wondering if I put thread sealant on the head bolts. Because I just can't for the life of me remember if I did, I am going to pull the top of the intake and valve covers to pull the bolts one at a time to check...

any experience with the edelbrock rpm 2??

I can give you my first hand experience... I just sold my unused RPM II. From all the research I could find, it was way too big (air volume) for my application and use. The intake screams above 4K, but sucks down low. My friend has it on his '93 with a Novi SC; and he loves it. I have a...

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

Well I got it finished yesterday. (H-pipe at least) Not too shabby if I must say so myself. Went to take the pics and the camera was dead. I am not able to get over to the shop until Saturday, so I will post some pictures then. Even with the 3 1/2 inch Aluminum driveshaft, I think there is...

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

I had a local shop do up a couple of bends for me. A couple of welds and presto. H-Pipe. I will finish it up tomorrow and post some picks. No mods to the seat pan plate. All tucked up in the tunnel nice and neat. Horrendous amount of work but worth it.

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

Dumped flows- H or X you will get drone. I have Dynomax Super Turbos going out the back. So I won't have any issues with drone. Thanks for info on the Powerdyne; another reason I stayed away.

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

Thanks for the input. I have shorties and the pipes that reach down to where the H-pipe will be, run right beside the deep sump Trans Pan, which is the lowest point on the system. I want to do the H over the X; as the X is kind of raspy and I want to hear a low rumble. Bet yours does sound...

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

You know, I thought that was the case, but, with everything I have done to date on this conversion, everything is usually far more complicated than I think at the time. :rlaugh: Thanks for the tip on the crossover pipe.

Questions on exhaust styles - need pics

I am trying to put together the exhaust for the stang. I am wondering what makes an H-pipe "off road"? From what I can tell from pictures I have seen there is no difference in design? Anyone? Also, has anyone done the exhaust up above the seat pan plate for your convertible? Pictures? I...

What to wrap wiring conduit with?

3M products makes a high temp electrical tape called Scotch Super 33, that I have used on many cars and all of my company's trucks. It holds up to the high heat of the engine compartment. I believe it is rated up to 220 degrees. You can pick it up at Home Depot.

I never would have thought that rotating the MAS would change anything? Thanks for the tips. Anything else to watch out for?

Will the computer learn my new setup?

I heard about the C&L meter issue, but like many things, you have to take the good with the bad. I suppose if the meter gives me too much trouble, I can always switch it out. I have the A9 series EEC for my Auto trans. (I did the search thing before posting - 3yrs without power concerned...

Will the computer learn my new setup?

So... It will learn? Why the concern about the meter? It is matched for the 24# injectors. Are you saying bigger or smaller?

Will the computer learn my new setup?

Hi, The computer has been sitting without power for 3 years. I am wondering if the computer will "re-learn" to get the most out of my setup? If not, is there anyone in Colorado that can lend me their tuning program in a couple of weeks after I start her up? Or should I just invest in a chip...

Cleaning out an Explorer intake and vacume line question?

I just picked up the '95 Explorer intake. It was bead blasted so the outside is pretty clean. I am worried that the upper has material in it. What is the best way to make sure it is cleaned out? There are freeze plugs on either end of the plenum; should I pop them out, clean it, and then...

Infiniti wants to race me...what do you think?

Do it for fun only. My neighbor has a G35 sports coupe. That thing is wicked fast. My friend has the new Cobra and he just barely beat him, and I mean just barely. Over a mile and that thing can rock. 11,000 RPM redline I think... it just keeps winding up. Very fun. But, then again...

    GT40 Tubular intake vehicles????

Well the truck was there... but someone already grabbed the intake. The explorers were all picked over too. What gives? I guess it will be the Cobra intake after all. I may have someone from the Corral interested in the RPM2. So I may have a resolution soon.
