Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

Oh and by the way, I measured the LCA mounts and they are to spec so that's good news. I swapped back in the stock UCA's and most of the binding is gone now. Definitely a world of difference. I wonder if there is a set of adjustable UCA's that I can install without causing binding?

Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

So just make sure the suspension is at its lowest point when tightening then eh? If I run into any other issues I'll give that a shot for sure. Thanks a bunch!

Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

I greased all sides of the bushings including inside the control arm "sleeve" itself before sliding the poly bushings into the arm, so everything has a nice coat of Lucas Oil grease on it.

Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

I'm using Mega Byte Jr LCA's on the lower hole. -Jacked up the car -Supported housing with jack -Removed lower shock bolts -Lowered rear housing one side at a time to remove springs -Supported housing level with jack stands -Removed old LCA's -Pounded out LCA bolts at axle side...

Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

Thanks sweet88gt Does that measurement include the thickness of the metal or are you measuring from the inner edge not including the thickness of the metal forming the bracket? Thanks The binding I'm getting is in another thread but basically the rear end is WAY too stiff and lifts one...

Anyone have a second to measure something for me on their 8.8? PLEASE!

Either the red line or the blue but please specify which one was measured. I recently put in LCA's and I'm getting major suspension binding. I'm afraid I may have bent the LCA mounting points on the 8.8 when I was pounding out the old bolts and I want to see if they have indeed been bent...

94-95 Aftermarket Alternator Bracket? Power Steering Bracket?

The brackets still don't fit since the water pump bolt configuration is different I believe.

94-95 Aftermarket Alternator Bracket? Power Steering Bracket?

The march ones for sure have no way of fitting. The only solution I see is someone custom making a piece from billet, or swapping over to a fox timing cover and water pump... I am going to see if there are any CNC shops around me that could make a billet piece.

    Two Suspension questions, need help!

Greetings. I recently installed my LCA's (Megabyte Jr's) and in order to make up for the car leaning a bit to the right (battery reloc), I put in the spring spacers included with the LCA's. My question is, could I have possibly put them on the wrong side? My theory was that by putting the...

94-95 Aftermarket Alternator Bracket? Power Steering Bracket?

I have a March alternator bracket on order to see if there is any way to get it to line up, although I'm being told that isn't going to work since the timing covers are different. I was wondering if anyone has had success with the March brackets or if they have found another place for an...

How To Convert To a Fox Style Throttle Body

I don't exactly have any local truck shops that I know of. I guess I'll have to check the yeller pages. Don't need a 3" to 3.5" have that covered already :)

How To Convert To a Fox Style Throttle Body

Good read there, but why then does icing the intake work? Because of the larger displacement surrounding the incoming air? Also, either way, that SS tubing place only offers 3" or 4" and I'm looking to go up from a 3" elbow to a 3.5" elbow.

How To Convert To a Fox Style Throttle Body

I think the main problem is finding a place that will bend 3.5" aluminum or stainless pipe. I'm looking to find a place that will bend me a 3.5" aluminum elbow (lighter than stainless)

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure the rears on the 94 are steel. you could try a polish and clear coat but the clear usually yellows with high heat. I plan to just paint my rears black or silver. But part of me wants to keep them red and just paint the caliper bracket on the fronts red, still...

Did some part polishing this weekend

Well I'm still a good hour+ from Rockford, but yeah fairly close ;) If they are the 99+ calipers (PBR), they're aluminum and should keep a polish pretty well, but steel would rust almost as soon as I finished with them lol Shoot me a pm sometime with what you are thinking of having...
