    My rebuilt engine with 700 miles on it is useing oil. Machine shop was supposed to replace all the bad valve guides but not all of them. I was also running a heavy oil 20w 50 . Could this have been a problem with seating the rings ? I was light on it for the first 500 miles for the most part...

    question on ohms

    What would a it take to run a subwoofer that is 6 ohms . All the amps that I look at are for 2 -4 ohms. These are MB quarts and they top out at 175 watts. But there cheap so I was wondering.

    altenator Bolt hole to small ? head problem

    The original Heads are 1966 vintage. The heads on Now say 289 right in the middle of them. The hole for the altenator bolt is a little larger on the original heads that came off the engine . The new heads holes are just a little to small to fit the original altenator bolt and yes its the right...

    ok My altenator bolt the big one will not go in. I had a pair of 289 heads worked so its not my original heads. The problem is the bolt hole is smaller then on the originals were the altenator bolts to the head. Why would a 289 head be diffrent and is it ok to drill out and tap it bigger

    Well the bigest problem now is money . I rented a engine Hoise for 40 bucks. Now I will have 120 bucks in to that I could have bought one. Thats what realy pisses me off . Its the time wasted and the money for that. Paying for the piston to be redone is the least of my worries. Piss me off...

    The machine shop put the connecting rod on upside down. The piston faces the right way but the Numbers on the connecting Rod are faceing down instead of up. Is this going to be a problem ? Just on the one piston all the rest are correct

    How much is this car worth?

    Its worth what ever some one will pay but this is a low end car. Just judging from the pictures 6,000 - 8,000 If the paint and stuff is truely original never been touched since new Not just the same color as it was then Maybe you could see the higher end money . look here...
