Whats better C9OX or F4B

i always thought they were the same intake. i have a c90x coming for my 351w that currently has an e'brock performer. if you are interested in selling either of them let me know, i recently purchased another 69 coupe and it comes with a 93 roller 5.0 short block with an x303 cam, so i'll be needing an intake and heads for it, let me know

they definetely floe better thans the e'brock perfromer, and almost as god as most of the single plane intakes at least up to about 5500 rpm, where most dual planes start dropping off anyway, if you need a better dual plane you don't have a lot of options, either weiand stealth or performer rpm. let me know about the intakes.

The C90X, F4B , the newer Ford A321 and the Cobra high rise are all the same intake and every bit as good as a Performer RPM. They were used in all forms of racing with big assed cams equal to an X303 back in the 60's.

well it looks to me that they are super close. It also looks like as far as a duel plane goes it hung right with the single plane until the upper RPM. It is old and I am sure there has got to be something new out there that is better but it looks to me for vintage mods this is the way to go. Why is it that the C90X commands more money then the F4B ? is it all in the name ? or is there a slight diffrence.

Also if I am useing mod 289 heads they have larger intake and exaust valves . In order to get the most out of these do I have to have them port matched sine the width looks diffrent? the intake looks wider then the original head intake ports

The difference is the part #. The C90X is a Factory muscle part that was available thru dealers back in the late 60's thru the early 70's. I'm running one on my V8 Ranger now and love it. Works well with a warmed up 5.0 with ported E7 heads, an F4TE high torque roller , tri-Y headers and a Holley 600.Lots of pep pulls up to valve float at 5500 rpms. I have no doubt it would do even more with a better valve train.

i always thought the rpm's and stealths would slightly outflow these, but i could be wrong. BTW Dhearne i did finally come up with a c90x for the 351w should be here next week. the big diff between the F4B and the C90X is that the C90X has a ford part number so it is legal for vintage racing classes that and it is a bit rarer than the F4B since it was only sold through ford dealers.

:D You can also tell the Chevy boys that your motor is "all stock too" :D A C9OX for a Windsor is a rare find. :nice:
