    Gas mileage smass mileage :D. I can get 23mpg with the 3.73's if I cruised nice and easy down the highway. Changes that I've made since I ran the 12.44 in 2006... - Tubular A-arms with coil over kit (- 30lbs) - KYB adjustable struts and shocks - Soon to be rear seat delete (approx 20-30lbs)...

    So after recently installing some new rear control arms and battle boxes, I noticed I have a considerable amount of slop in my driveshaft without any movement from the axles. My pops seems to think a lot of it is coming from the axle splines, but I think it has too much backlash between the ring...

    I was in Canton over the weekend and they got a good couple inches...which is gone now. We hardly got anything here in Newark. Oh, and drive my stang with salt on the road? NEVER EVER EVER!!! :D That's what Sexy Susan is for!

    I'm pretty sure you have to raise the engine at least a couple inches for any sort of longtubes to fit. My BBK's are like that

    Rear Control Arm Install

    A good long, strong punch helps also to help line up the bushings in the holes. I just replaced all of my control arms a few days ago. Just use patience and think things through and you can do it by yourself. A good buddy is always welcome though lol

    Yesterday was welding day. My dad and I spend several hours bolting and welding the battle boxes into the car. Also ran a solid beam all around the factory torque boxes to strengthen them further. The lowers are a piece of cake, I was able to do those by myself. The uppers take a bit more work...

    Really? Our burnout box guys at National Trails will immediately started yelling at you if you even pop your sunroof up, let alone have your windows down lol.

    I have zero miles on it, so as far as durability I guess time will tell. I can tell a huge improvement just moving it around in the shop compared to the original 112,000 mile rack and pinion though.

    So I finished the rack and pinion and the steering feels MUCH better....and no more slop in the front wheels from worn out inner tie-rods. Sorry but I didn't really get any pictures of it. However, here's some pics of the progress of my battle boxes and aftermarket control arm installation...
