    Ok guys im having a problem. My torque converter won't seat all the way in, feeling around with my fingers for clearance I can confirm there is about 1 inch After maybe a little under an hour, of turning while pushing, it won't go further than those 2 inchest, leaving an inch of space...

    Went WOT for First Time Since New Engine

    I get that little pool of coolant as well, just raise the rubber hose up 1/2" put some RTV on the end, and push it down and tighten. Usually I get that pool though when im messing with the alternator bolts 6 point sockets.

    So the trans-go kit was at fault ? Like i've said Aod-e is also been giving me a pain, and im sure for later/future references it's got me saying NO to any car with an auto.

    Yeah, that's what im getting tired of spilling oil on myself and the cement when taking off the pan, I finally put heli coils on the stripped pan threads, rechanged the real main seal to a teflon, and sealed those bolts rith red thread sealant. I see you wanna get rid of the trans HISSIN...

    Thanks guys, it does install only one way, although I don't know why Hayne's and Chilton recommended to mark them both. The torque converter same question as before. The flexplate has 4 holes that are used to mount the torque converter, each one of the holes belongs to a wing of the torque...

    Has anyone ever installed a Drain Plug kit on they're stock Aode transmission pan ? I've called autozone to check availability, the autozone representative adviced me not to install one, for reason that the transmission pan metal might be too thin, and oil will go through. Instalation...

I din't have my digital cam, so the drawn picture is what my flexplate looks like. Do I align the flexplate weight balancer...

    The newbie Again.... should i get nitrous?

    spending a grand on a kit ? might as well buy a Venom kit, I believe it's got chip included or is it a Nitrouse management unit ??? With that kind of money 700 I would get either a Zex or edelbrock kit, new fuel pump, install yourself.

    Im doing my rear main seal again this time with a Felpro teflon seal. I've heard that the bolts that attach the flex plate to the engine need to be sealed, but I wasn't sure. If they do need to be sealed what type of sealant should I use silicone, etc?

    trans pan bolt thread repair? what size helicoil?

    Anyone know the size helicoil kit one should be looking for, to fix the pan bolts on the transmission. I can't remember if it's a 8mm x 1.25 or 6mm x 1.25. Thanks.

    When replacing the seal, can I add anything like rubber gasket maker on the inside diameter of the seal (where it should make contact with the crank shaft?

    Stock rear gear vs. 3.55's

    When I purchased my car I had 3:23's I believe, I switched to 3:55 and got no noticeable difference. Should of gone with the 3:73 or 3:90!

    I have three different manuals. A Hayne's manual, a Chilton, and the last one, I can't remember the author, but it's cover is red with a flamed fox body mustang. I like the Chilton from them all, more information Including wiring diagrams, and hose diagrams, but their is just alot more info...

    Im ginving the new mustang an 8.5 for looks, and a 7 for keepin the 4.6 engine. It's a sad day when the newest mustang's still can't keep up with the WS6 or the Ls1. Unless you go with a Cobra or Roush, pretty expensive.

    I've recentlly installed the new torque converter and transgo shift kit. now im having a problem. I've started the car for the first time, I went through all the gears, before butting it into drive, the installation seemed to worked. Then I stepped on the throttle; I hear a backfiring noise...
