    Exhaust Smell in Cabin

    Do your exhaust tips turn down out the back of the car? Mine were just short of the rear valence panel and the car smelled like exhaust. Installed turn downs and extended out beyond the valence and the smell went away.

    I bought one from Branda for a 67 shelby, not the short hood. It fit really good. I don't know about the short shelby hood, but if it is made by the same company then I am sure it will be good. You could call and talk to them.

    Car smells like a two stroke engine (gas)

    Like Bottlefed is thinking.. make sure your exhaust exits the back of the car and does not stop short of the rear valence.. This will make a huge difference in smelling the exhaust, whether it is running rich or not.

    Thanks for the info. The plastic hose adapter fits the best on the inner wheel well, looks like zookeeper has it on the outer wheel well. I need to dig out my fiberglass panels for the inside of the car and see if installation on the inner well affects fit of the interior panel.

    Hey Zookeeper, do you have any pics of how your hood lines up against the cowl? I just installed my Branda hood today, looks like it has a 1/3 gap at the cowl. It's going to need more glass on both sides to widen it. Do you have your car pics posted somewhere?

    Thanks for the pics.. Just what I was looking for. The tops of my doors the crease is cut back some and there is about a 1/2" gap. My body guy is going to weld a piece of metal to correct. These were $49 door skins.

    Doe's anyone have a close up picture of the front door gap at the top? I had door skins put on my original doors and the gap does not look right where the top of the fender and the door meet. Thanks
